Agreed. The two are not mutually exclusive. Gibbs is the paragon of that principle. Ditto Lucas.

Wake up to yourselves....2012 is a disaster.
2012 is a huge disaster.
I understand the disaster between 2002 and 2009, but to say 2012 is blamed exclusively on injury is too simple.

I watch the players play without cohesion....whilst you admire the craftmanship required to carve a team up...yep...even the Kangas.
I see these players not playing for the coach....there's no spirit.
The coach is not moving these guys emotionally.
We beat the Pies because they don't hunt us, and let us do our thing....during the H&A.

I love my club...this club...your club, but I'm fed up with this shit...and shit it is. Piss weak effort

It's obvious to me that it's time to put the microscope on everyone at the club...and then the broom.
Why not? Give me one reason why we shouldn't be planning on 2013 right now!!!! ONE!

Can't move forward with Ratts coaching the team.
We can't move forward whilst Sticks lets Ratts run the team like this for the remainder of the year.
It may be bad luck...sure...but it may be more than that...I don't want a repaet of 2012...I want change.
You all know Ratts will not be there beyond 2012...so why not staret the revolution NOW!!!!

Every team has injuries, and yes we've been struck a beauty this year but why do other clubs continue to be successful with shit loads of injuries...Hawks last year, WCE and Bombers this year....!@#$%& me dead,,,there's something seriously wrong with the club.

Denial and excuses .....cheat rubbish...aint going to help.

Synbad may be a goose to some, but he has been consistent even when things seemd OK.
Synbad's opinion has trumped the lot of us with rose coloured glasses...admit it.
If you're in denial, there's no point hanging shit on Synners position....you're in denial.

Tell me....anyone...why should we keep the status quo as it stands in round...who carses what round it is...it's over...we will not win the flag this year and I'm not interested in maybe making the finals because I know the Kangas, the Saints and most likely, the Tigers will all end up ahead of us this year....time to look at improving the future NOW!!!!!!!

Start the !@#$%& search for the new coach NOW!!!!!!!
2012 is over if its a flag we're after.
We are a rabble.

Emotionally charged yet rational. Great post bondi!!!
Ratts must go immediately because he will not play kids until it is mathematically impossible for the blues to make the 8. He is coaching for himself, not the club he loves.

The removal of Sticks is easier said than done. Is there actually someone out there willing & able to step into the Presidents role? Mitchell, Fahour, Mathieson, Herman, Prendergast etc are names mentioned but are they really in the frame? Sticks may be asking the same question. If there was a real contender why could there not be a succession plan put in place & promoted to the public in a positive fashion.

This would go a long way in getting members & supporters buy in.

Agree, I'd even add Fitzpatrick into the mix. While he's in the top job at AFL, it won't happen, but we should be leaving no stone unturned regardless of the person's current interests. You don't know unless you ask.

Should have begun 4 weeks ago. It's been clear for a while that things are not as they ought to be down at the club.

It also works in reverse and building a successful side is all about making judgements. How long does it become too late to do anything about it? I'd say one year too late and I'm being very generous.

Totally agree with the posters saying 2013 begins now.

No point just making up the numbers in the Top 8.......that's Nth Melbourne's job. Let's try and win it in 2013.

Doesn't the fixturing partly depend on where you finish the previous year? We might end up playing Gold Coast or even GWS twice.......it's sure not hurting Adelaide et el that are playing the twice this year.

Put players in Send players in for surgery NOW - not in September which may delay when they atrat their pre-season.

And FFS play GIBBS in the midfield........I'm sick and tired of him in defence.
