Our recruting is the worst in the AFL by a mile. Flowering disgraceful. Don't know why they didn't just sack Hughes instead of demoting him :screwy: :screwy: :screwy: :screwy: :screwy:

What was Duigan's injury?

Not sure. But must've had some kind of injury to leave him languishing in the FP all night while the back line was leaking like a sieve ..... Unless we were putting a hard tag on McMahon??

Pros - That's the last time I will get to see us live this year.

Cons - Flight home has been delayed.

Pros:

Robbo our only player who consistently looks to hurt opposition players. That crunching bump on Grima was a beauty.
Judd. Brilliant game. Great to see some real aggression. Showed the kind of passion you like to see from a leader. Obviously a stupid report. But given this season is a bust, probably good to have him missing as we seek to develop alternatives and play for drafting position.
Enjoyed seeing Lucas running hard late in the game and winning some footy. But he seems to butcher it every time he gets it (despite looking like he has a decent kicking technique).
Despite some horrible turnovers, was again impressed by Armfield's effort.
Nice to see Murphy back. Terrible set shots at goal though.
Hendo.

Cons:

Last week the MC actually came out ahead for one of the few times this year. This week was back to usual. North love to play fast counter attack footy, and we allowed them to do exactly what they wanted. We were outnumbered both up forward and down back on many occasions. And they simply waltzed through our midfield numbers.
Defensive intensity was poor. Absolutely no excuses. It's not as though we've won the last 3 games in a good season and had some semblance of excuse for coasting. So many tackles broken or not made at all.
North's goalkicking vs. ours (especially early in the game). Happens every time we play there.
Lost count of how many free kick assisted goals they got.
Opposition not simply thrasing us, but beating us up (again) and treating us with contempt (Firrito shoving the ball in Duigan's face). Wish we had more aggressive footballers. Obviously don't want players missing for suspension, but would rather that then the timidity with which our group currently plays.
McLean was poor. Made some shocking turnovers.
Gibbs invisible again.
Kreuzer had a beauty last week against Jolly (again). But again simply could not compete in the ruck against a taller opponent.
