But is he a GUN like Gibbs Synbad?

Seriously, the most overrated player in the side.

Maybe a real coach may turn him into one but right now, just a serviceable HB (of which we have a shitload of...)

Those that think Thornton will play are dreaming.

Coach won't play him!

Gibbs is a great reason why Ratts should be beheaded as a coach

We can afford to only drop 1 more game. 7 games to go, need to win 6 of them = not gonna happen with our team at the moment.

Hopefully we knock off the Doggies and then the equation will be to win 5 out of 6.

I hate it when posters have pot shots at our kids, especially when they are still trying to find their feet.
By the way - I think the kids is doing very, very well considering all the ball coming down of late.

Watsons going ok. He's a natural big defender and he's hard to shift when he gets in the right spots. Just needs to clunk the defensive marks and he will be fine.

Not the quickest by hand, foot or brain in some circumstances and will benefit from Laidlers return.

He's showing as much as the Brown twins without the knee injuries and they both play in superb defensive structures.

Very happy with his progress.

Season over so we must now play some youngsters.

Give Mitchell the next 7. Even if he doesn't perform at least give him a taste for next year. Give Dale a crack too. Try Casboult and Buckley. Give Boots a few more and keep Lucas in for the next 7 even though he's clearly not up to it right now. Lucas disposal is disgraceful, can't handball and either kicks hospital passes or to the opposition. Big 7 weeks for him to show something!

Leave Waite in the VFL, if he even gets back on the park.

This may be a good time to blood a couple of those kids, we probably don't have any other option, but Casboult and Mitchell have both been out for long stretches and have never played a senior game, it would be a hell of an ask to expect them to come in and play seniors and if they don't do any good there will be people who will can them and start on the MC all over again.

Synbad bags everyone and everything. No balance in his arguments, only negative rants. Has some good points but the obsession with negativity detracts much of the credibility from them to the point of whether you take him seriously or not.

Anyone who knows anything knows Watson's down pretty well. Why would you bag him, especially a kid. Bag the club at any opportunity, that's the problem.

Jim has been applauding everything. No balance in his arguments only positive rants. Has some good points but his positivitiy detracts much of the credibility from the point of whether to take him seriously or not.

Now you be the jusge who is more accurate......

Then thats the indicator in credibilty...

Sorry Jim... sorry to say... you have to be exposed for speaking in a forked tongue.

For ages.. you have been smashing me for bagging these guys and suggesting everything is going great...!!!...

Even till this week...

Credibility???

You cannot have!!!....

Forked tongue... up there with Scarponi and Cazzesman...

The proof is in the pudding !!!

Out: Walker & Joseph(inj), Judd(susp), garlett(omit)

In: Thornton, Bell Tuohy & Dale

McInnes. Watson. Tuohy.
Yarran. Jamo. Duigan.
Scotland. Gibbs. Lucas.
Robbo. Hendo. Collins.
Betts. Thornton. Dale.
Kreuz. Murph. Carrots.
McLean. Army. Bell. Sub: Curnow.

Jamo lucky as dogs lack key fwds so hoping thus game plays him into form.
Army lucky he shows desperation
Debut a creative fwd in Dale and hard big bodied mid on bell, both start game not as sub.
Gibbs plays fwd or guts.
Thornton back up ruck
Watson not to ruck
Duigan return to defense

garletts safe. 3 goal assists, 1 goal 3 behinds and was generally ok minus a few brain fade moments

There were signs with Garlett.. thats all...

But if our goals are going to come from the ball going through the eye of the needle into his lap between 2 opposition defenders...
... and we rely on that... God help us!!!!
