nah its cool mate!!!

i know were all hurting.

Ratts coaching us further????

thats coaching us into the abyss....that deep black hole......!!!!

Cant agree with you mate...

Try talking to him sometime..... have a chat about his specialty.... footy....... youll see what i mean...

Would be shocking to talk to him about stuff he isnt an expert in....

But truly.. there is nothing there to see.... move on....

new coach....

I do still believe that Ratts can take us further and I would like to see him at least coach his contract out, and I do get frustrated with what does appear to be a concerted effort to get him sacked and I think that is unfair as he got us to within a kick of a prelim last year

But he didn`t get us there did he. Would have, could have, should have...
If this club was serious, we should have been seeking a new coach after the Swans Elimination Final loss.

That is a major issue.

Last week loved our defensive pressure and how we stopped collingwood scoring. This week we fail miserably on that front and we got smashed. Our team defence was shite and we paid the price.

Plough once commented why he moved chris grant forward after the browlow winning year at chb ( yeah i know) forwards win games so you put your best players forward. We showed again we try and save games, playing hendo back, it does not work! I thought our workrate was reasonable we are not structured properly. Whats the point of having 3 kpd watson, jamo and hendo plus mcinnes and no bloody forward. Plus this stifles our ability to quickly move the ball out of our backline.

Im sorry but the coaching panel all need to go. As a group they have failed. Injuries does not explain the reactive coaching.

Unfortunately your right and it's not nice to say.

The other issue is when he's speak with people he doesn't instill much confidence.

Some people say what about the players. Hard to do when you know what they are being instructed to do. It keeps changing and is very reactive. Listen to the great coaches they have one clear message and are consistent.

I don't like bagging Ratten as he is a Carlton great but he is doing us damage and it is hard to watch. Sitting at he game last night was awful.

Things need to change. Please!

Exactly.

What he is on? I would guess anywhere between $4-500k. No matter what it is he will never earn that anywhere else and tat is hard to walk away from.

Judging by most of their tweets ... they don't give a shit.

'tis a bit to swallow, tbh.

Hes the dumbest coach going around.

Imagine bringing in Guus and allowing him a month to understand footy.

He would revolutionise football.

such a basic game... and Ratts cant understand it....

:screwy: :screwy: :screwy:

Synbad please get off your Ratten bashing for once and have a look at the game for what it was, there was absolutely nothing he could do with the personnel he had available once the ball was bounced.

We went in short in both defence and forward, once we lost Touhey and Walker that compounded the situation, surely you can see that, please enlighten me with the moves that could have been made that could have stopped Petrie and who we could have used as a genuine forward option, can you also tell me how we could cover the loss of Walker and Joseph prior to half time and still be able to keep our run up, please just give me a reasonable and logical analys of what could be done from the box to rescue the situation, just for something different, rather than pushing your dislikes.

'8182, I'm sure Synbad can answer for himself, however see what you think of these couple of ideas as examples.

It was pretty obvious early that Petrie was hot. In fact I would've said that he was a "known danger" before the game. What's the most obvious strategy
to cope with an opposition KP forward who is leading and/or marking well? I'm no AFL coach but I would say you organise a "third man up" or a "chop out". That
seems to be how everyone else copes with a Franklin' or a Cloke or whomever. What you don't do is leave a dominating forward one out. Like we did.

Maybe it's not that simple. IMO though Jamison had no chance of stopping the first three, maybe four goals. Duigan wasn't doing anything at the time. I would've
moved him back as a loose man in defence and told him to help out whoever needed it. He's a smart and courageous footballer and can play that role well.

Here's another example. When Walker went down I would've dusted off my "slow it all down" contingency plan. When we lost AJ as well I would've applied it.
We all know how well we play a fast running game, but you can't do it when your rotations are down and there's no fresh sub for the last quarter. We should
have swapped to an old "Ross Lyon St.Kilda" style game plan. Bored the sh*t out everyone and frustrated Nth who at the time were running everywhere and loving it.
The frustration just might have messed with their heads enough for us to make some progress.

Just two ideas. I would hope that a professional AFL coach would have a lot more up his sleeve.

The Great Northern is my local.............. I never miss a saturday night there.................

I did tonight.

Didn't want to go near the place. Wanted to stay away from the club, the players and from football........somethings just not quite right with the place at the moment!

Those saying how can Ratts give up a $500K salary? Do we know if he is contracted for next year or is there an opt out clause if doesn't achieve certain targets?
