Doesn't matter what we do if the players have no belief in the structure and systems

Levi is no better or worse than Jumping Jack down at Geelong.

Difference we refuse to play Gibbs as our Steve J.

Levi looked pretty fit down at Frankston last Sunday.

Its time to put him in as 3rd forward or 2nd ruck.

List management is all wrong so we dont have right balance of KPPs. Too many flanker types.

Ive pretty much had it with Geelong comparisons.....

But what about Ratts needing 3 more years like Bomber?....

Except that comparison.

That is the only thing about the Geelong comparisons i think might happen...

I know that media doesnt like talking about "Dead man walking"... but he is.... and i reckon he knows it.

Im preetty sure he cant believe they havent already pulled the pin on him already.

Its unpleasant... but noones happy.
Hes not hapy
The players definitely arent happy...

Im not sure what the delay is about now....

Should have been knocked on the head.. and now it should have been all about who can play and who cant.

Clever clubs, watch and learn from others.

When a team wins 3 flags in 5 years they pretty much have it right.

Back a few years we did the same thing 68, 70,72, loss in 69.

1. Collingwood held onto a coach for 10 years and got lucky because Saints got yips in GF for the upteenth time. Ran them over in replay.
2. Cats players decided that they had to stand up. Bomber was replaced by a rookie and they still won. Recruiters got it all so right in 1999 and 2001 drafts, also masterful trading got Ottens and sperm delivered Ablettx2, Blake and Scarlett.
3. Hawks - A bloke with some Uni degrees, invented a game plan, that got kickin rule changed. Also Geelong kicked poorly. Also helps when you dude Roos out of first round draft picks and Ricmond and Dogs recruiters make mistakes and miss on Buddy.

Yeah we got creamed out of the centre and our skills were crap. We didn't apply enough pressure. We should have buried the North players in tackles...BUT...i'M SICK OF uMPIRES PAYING HIGHLY DUBIOUS FREES IN FRONT OF GOAL. I want to see a stat: free kicks paid against Carlton resulting in Goals at crucial moments.
PS- Read Robert Walls in the Age. Don't let the Media wag the Carlton tail. And...Kernahan get on the front foot and back Ratten before wankers like Footy classified speculate again.

PPS- How does an Umpire miss the head high charge against Aaron Joseph?????

PPPS- gOOD LUCK TO nORTH. tESTIMONY TO FAITH PAID IN THE cOACH

yeah true. one does it at reserve grade level (inconsistently) and one does it during big finals and even grand finals. but hey, desperate times call for desperate straw clutching so that we can sleep at night.

having said all that, i am all for having a look at casboult at senior level if he can get fit enough before the years out. fingers crossed and straws firmly clutched.

murphy
- would have been running for most of the time off
- established player
- top line midfielder with good skills (which were rusty tonight)

casboult
- had a knee injury that would have prevented running/limited his fitness base
- hasn't played a game
- tall

notice the difference?

Casboult is a forward who is enjoying a free weekend to help his match fitness.

Casboult won't/shouldn't be on the list next year...he is a dreadful kick of the ball. It doesn't matter that he provides one or two highlights a game - his kicking at AFL level would be a massive liability given the number of shit kicks we already have.

Maybe not, but for the sake of 3yrs investment surely he needs to be given a chance in the last 2 months? We are crying our for a target inside 50.

Yes but the ball will hit the ground and he is useless there...

This is where the sacking of Setanta was totally stupid!!!

Setanta would make a huge difference cheering from the stands with Waite and others

Why from the stands????

He wasnt in the stands last year .....

Unloved he and (unloved Thornton and unloved Walker) helped is immensely...
We turfed him out but added more unloved footballers to the ledger.. Russell/Bower/

The coach has a massive problem with getting guys heads right and feeling loved and ready to play and contribute.

Then you add this to the injuries and the list is farrrrrked!!

But he keeps Davies and White.....and Waite

He was forever injured the only two players who have the same record is Waite and Hartlett

Always injured a liability

Our talls are either injured or can't have a pre season....goes back to injury management/fitness...surely they've had enough time to see injuries to tall players is a significant issue - it's only this year they've promised to look into it. Yet they still decided to give Waite a 3 year deal.

Look at Geelong with Chapman - they are offering him 1 year...he's had hamstring problems...smart management - Carlton, thick as @#$%&! bricks...

Chapman 3 x Premiership player, Norm Smith winner and they only offer 1 year. We give Waite 3 years. There's the difference between a smart club and one with shit for brains still thinking we're in the VFL.

How many in the reserves last year????

We call upon these guys when we have nothing else.

We dont encourage them
We dont develop them.

I know youre not a fan... youre a bit like Ratten.. youre looking for Wayne Carey reincranate.

Truth was.. you need competitors... tigers.. enthusiasm and guys that can take a mark and compete when the ball hits the ground.
Kick goals and provide a target

I was sitting near the Carlton players. Waite, laidler, Touhy, Simpson. Pretty depressing before the game even started.
Bec was nearby though and a very attractive friend.
