Nah.. just get rid of the coach.

As good player as he was.. hes eroding his reputation with his coaching prowess.
Once thats done.. and the players listen to a new voice... you might see more from them.

MR Cazz believes they wanna play for him.....

This is a guy who has lost the playing group on masse....and has expired his used by date...and hes still there stinking it up.
Anyone who plays just now is really not going to make a difference

Ratts is spent!!!... put him out of his misery as a coach... exercise the footy version of euthanasia

Filthy filthy night, nothing went right on or off the field. Positives that Hendo moved wel, Brock played well againl and Murph was really effective. Judd had a blinder which will now be eclipsed by media BS. All of it means jack shit though, the season is now well and truly over. Biggest positive now is that all hope is gone completely and I look forward to watching if we start throwing games at Bell, Dale, ROK, Mitchell and Casboult to see if there's anything at all there. Really summed up a season that never really was tonight.

Predictable result, lost by not selecting Thornton and/or Bower and then moving Henderson back was the straw that broke the camels back! Amazing coaching - sorry Ratts but that was pathetic.

You need to give yourself a chance to win a game. I'll repeat it one more time - top sides have atleast 2 KP players forward of the centre every week. We could have played Thornton & Henderson and given ourselves a little chance!

it's a shame the umpires were involved in norths first 4 goals of the game
they beat us late 3rd and 4th but we got slaughtered by umps 1st and 2nd quarter all foward of center!

I just hate it when people respond to a post without actually reading it properly. All I was doing was pointing out that other clubs traded for top players when he/she said they won premierships by developing their lists. They all traded strategically.
In isolation, I couldn't give a stuff what other clubs do. We have tried trading and we have tried drafting. Our trades have been at best a mixed bag and at worst a disaster. Our draft picks have been a mixed bag and at worst not too flash.
But I can't see the point in letting people re-write history without a rebuttal.

I read it, pretty quickly and carelessly, granted, but I read in none the less. I actually don't see the point of calling something rubbish and correcting it if you don't fully qualify your stance and when their heart is in the right place. It makes you sound like an apologist.

You rate this guy as a coach.....

.. and yet.... you Surrey have just put together a structure....

The structure thats so impossible to touch... and yet there is one.

Hey ...... i knew this would happen when Setanta got moved on.... he didnt rate the Irishman cos he didnt play like Carey....

He kept White and Davies

Were talking about the dumbest coach in the AFL.....

Strategically outcassed by a mile.

1. Duigan last week was innovative and made sense on Maxwell, but don't do it again FFS. He's a very good backman not a forward. It worked once so try it again? Jesus H. Christ

2. Petrie one out in the square with space to lead into was a disaster waiting to happen. By all means move Jammo off him for a bit if he's rattled but as soon as we moved Hendo back we had NO key forwards and would never kick a winning score. Duigan back into the hole, Hendo or Watson on Petrie for 15 min, then let Jamo have another crack.

3. Our press was way too high. Just like Essendon* and Hawthorn as soon as we turned it over they got it out the back and goaled. And a lot like the preseason game against North.

Admittedly they didn't miss a thing and we were unlucky with Tuohy Walker and Joseph.

And who the hell was umpire number 17?

I admit it Synbad - it's getting harder and harder to support him these days.
I just don't understand this logic.

At least tonight's result proved that last week was an aberration.

I don't understand Ratten's logic going into this game with miget town and then moving our only Kp forward, back.
Jamo should have been trusted and the umpires should have got a verbal hammering at quarter time - flower the fine, make a statement. Jesus anyone else would have! We are weak and get bent over continuously by all and sundry involved within the AFL.

i think it has less to do with the imact of the umpires.. (thats just persecuted mentality) and more to do with what we do on a week to week basis

The best thing that could happen to this club is to miss finals which means the coach will be moved on. Tonight we saw one of the most gutless coaching perfomances of all time. So dissapointing after the effort last week.

Crap and guess what we lost

Sorry cant have 5 in the one team if you want consistency

They determine if we win or lose

LOL

Walker did a calf after 10 minutes. Is that a black thing?

Betts was good. Garlett was poor, Yarran great with the ball, not enough of it.

Is Curnow your 5th? Or Carrazzo? :screwy:

Maybe we have too many white players? How many of our white players went well? Jamo? Gibbs? McInnes? Watson? Kreuzer? Joseph? Armfield? Lucas?

Hmm Joseph mightn't be pureblood white...and Watson has a tan too....

I think we rely on our white players too much. They determine if we win or lose. We need more Fijians and Irish.

You keep believing that Synners but 3 of these guys kicked all our goals last year and they are the focal point of our forward line if they dont fire we lose and their difference between their good and bad is miles apart

Yep drop Betts Garlett Yarran and Walker for Davies White Thornton and Kerr. Just give us the cup! :thanks:

FMD - the ants have ANOTHER BYE - how the !@#$%& do we get fitness/conditioning/game time into casboult, mitchell, davies & white?

The amount of byes for the reserves and their occurance every three or four weeks is ludicrous. Mitchell for example could have had 6 or 7 games under his belt by next week instead of 4. Lack of contionuity must be hurting some of the marginal players build some form and or press their cases. 18 sides playing eachother one and a half times together with a nuff nuff reserves scenario = Rubbish competition. Doesn't alter the fact that we are not good enough.

This has hurt us more than most teams given the injuries to our kids. Can't believe the AFL signed off on the ludicrous State league cup Whatever TF it's called. VFL = joke. Sorry to VFL fans, but this abortion has to end. Bring back the reserves and let the VFL do their own thing.
