Poor recruitment, giving away draft pick for dud players trying to top up it just does not work that way . This is rubbish. Collingwood didn't go out and recruit Jolly or Ball, did they. Yep.
Hawthorn didn't go and get Dew or Gibson,or any of the other players they traded.
Geelong didn't go and get Ottens.
Sydney got Hall and more recently, Mumford.

All teams who think they are close will trade for specific players.

I'm not saying we shouldn't go to the draft but I am saying that we aren't the only ones and that the list of recent winner does have traded players.

I'm done for the year.

When you dislike your Monday to Friday job as much as I do, you like to spend your weekends doing something enjoyable, and right now attending footy isn't enjoyable.

I would have preferred to stay home and get some batshit boring household chores out of the way tonight.

Interesting some of the comments.

Last weekk the match committee and assistant coaches delivered key match ups against Pies.

Bonus was getting Hampson (Ruckman) out of Forward line.
Tonight, went reactive and moved Henderson back, when he should have stayed forward and kicked a bag.

Why was Lucas played ahead of taller Thornton?

Dumb match committee and coaching staff.

Is Ziebell reported? Or will that happen Monday?

From HUN

"But as is so often the case for the publicity-challenged Roos, their win will be completely overshadowed by Judd's brain implosion 10 minutes into the second quarter.

The dual Brownlow medallist was third to a contest with teammate Andrew Carrazzo already having tackled North's Leigh Adams.

Judd then inexplicably lifted and twisted the defenceless Adams' already strapped right arm to leave the prone Roo writhing in agony.

Adams left the ground with what appeared to be a dislocated shoulder.

Thankfully for both clubs, he returned after 12 minutes in the rooms, but the ramifications will last a lot longer with the match review panel certain to review the incident"

Iwas at the game and i dont remember any incident, is that why he was being booed all night?
Another terrible loss, not unexpected though.
We look a shambles, i cant remember a team kicking so accurately for ages, we couldnt buy a goal at one stage.
What happened to Walker?

The umpiring was ordinary tonight, but it worked both ways.

Reality says that our players are mentally fragile, and as Ratten said last week, he's the one responsible for having them turn up ready to play. At the same time he embraced honorable losses to West Coast and Geelong, whilst ignoring the shambles against Hawthorn.

As much as people (correctly) talk about problems with the administration, it's the coaching that's the problem. I loved the win against Collingwood's as much as anyone, but I'm becoming easily convinced that it was a game they lost, rather than one we won.

We are now a game and percentage outside the top eight, with a game against the Bulldogs to come at our graveyard: Etihad Stadium. That we play so poorly at that ground is a damning indictment on the coaching group as well.

By the end of this most heartbreaking season we must have a change of head coach.

We made a very average North look good. As with Port, St Kilda & Geelong these loses were disgraceful and should never be tolerated. We just aren't losing we arent close.

If Thrnton cant get a gig when the team is screaming out for a key forward, then surely this means his cateer at Carlton is as good as over.

Look thats an insignificant statistics.

Its similar to the ones Ratts rolls out after games.

42 points handed to them plus another 12 points from a result of frees just outside the 50 is the difference in the scores in the end

I reckon all bar 1 maybe 2 were there
It shows the side lacks discipline and on field leadership

I keep saying it but our problems all stem back to this feel good mumbo jumbo leading teams
These players need to be shown the way not have them call the shots and thats what leading teams promotes it takes away the team pecking order and it is why you get an educated spud like Jamo promoted to leadership groups

Piss them off

Agreed, getting spanked by middle tier teams is an indictment on where the club and team finds itself this season.

Norf would have flogged the Pies based on their respective games tonight and last Friday night.

Scary comment. How about moving Henderson so we had no one could compete in a marking contest?

Maybe moves Gibbs forward to replace Walker.

More excuses and no solutions.
