Why was Duigan played forward all night?
Why does Ellard not get a regular game despite consistent VFL form?
Why was Henderson not moved forward when we needed goals?
Why does Garlett hold his place?
Why do You persist with Gibbs down back?
Why can your team not react to pressure football?
What's plan B?
Why the reluctance to play the kids?

I don't think he has a plan A.

Before the game I said you can't play the same trick 2 weeks in a row. Duigan up forward worked because it was fresh. he's not a forward, at best a pinch hitter. If someone like me knows that, i fear for our team.
We don't like being hunted, we only play well when hunting. To me that says we are not well prepared and we are not ready to be a top 4 team.
I am sick that the misery of 2002-7 was for nought

Ratten is a top bloke, carlton through and through. I love him.
We have bad injuries, more than any club could cope with really but this has exposed us and him.
For the sake of our club he has to go and go soon.
We are not a club that accepts this sort of garbage.

The Injuries are overrated.

Simpson...first week
Laidler
Waite
Maybe Hampson

Struggling to think of key outs after that

That's the saddest part.

We were once a proud club who knew it's place at the top of the class system and now we're run by a bunch of bogans.

We should have realized when Blue Mark joined TC.

Q. Is there one player on our list of 42 that can take a contested overhead mark? If so please provide his name and jumper number. Thanks.

Playing Duigan up forward the whole match was a strange move. Half way through the 2nd qtr it was clear it wasn't going to work for us - he should have been sent back to stiffen up our defence.

Hendo was moved back to defence too soon - especially considering early on he was taking some strong marks up forward and providing a target. In addition Walker was subbed off so we had to keep Hendo up there as our only key forward option.

I saw this really crappy movie once...Ghost Ship. All the passengers are killed when a razor wire slices through them while they're up on deck. After the wire goes through, they momentarily look at each other in horror as the blood drains from their torsos, now detached from their legs, and they realise what's happened, helpless to react. Reminds me of Carlton right now, from the top down.

I'll speak in a language that Ratts may be able to understand

1. how is it possible to lose a game by nearly 10 goals when you have 55 more possessions than the opposition ?

2. how is it possible to lose a game by nearly 10 goals when you only have 4 less inside 50s than the opposition ?

3. how is it possible to lose a game by nearly 10 goals when you take 26 more marks and lay 15 more tackles ???

and finally...

4. how is it possible to make quality footballers look utterly inept on a regular basis ?

allow me to answer on ratt's behalf (because it is clear from recent history that he has not found the answer himself)

ANSWER : Because we have no consistent system that the team can rely on when the going gets tough ...and we have no structures that maximise the collective output of the team !!!!

For too long, we simply hope for acts of individual brilliance (eg a judd clearance, a betts snap, a walker grab et al) rather than come to rely on a structured system of play that can be relied on to deliver consistent success regardless of the individuals concerned.

ENOUGH IS SURELY ENOUGH !!!!!

it is no longer time to ask the question as to why we should sack rats....but it is now time to ask....WHY WOULD ANYONE KEEP HIM ????
