So Robbie Warnock gets suspended in the VFL ... can you f*cking believe it! And its a one game suspension but Carlton have a bye this week in the VFL, so effectively its a 2 week ban, well done Warnock you stupid, stupid man!

They say they will throw Watson in the ruck as backup to Kruezer, what a disaster! Let Watson learn his own way around the ground and on a man whilst he is in his infancy as an AFL player FFS

If Kruezer goes down we are truly screwed

Gee this is the opportunity to debut another guy I reckon, and perhaps Dale is that man, plus Thornton for some old mr. reliable.

How does suspensions actually work from VFL to AFL?

This will test Rats. May have to swallow his pride and "unstamp" those papers for Tbird

In: Thornton, Bower
Out: Hampson, Simpson

Duigan Bower McInnes
Yarran Watson Joseph
Scotland Carrazzo Gibbs
Robinson Thornton Garlett
Walker Jamison Betts
Kruezer Judd McLean
Curnow Armfield Collins (Tuohy)

Something different but gives us options forward.
Also gives Ratts some options to change Jamo/Watto/T-Bird as needed.
Bower just isn't a forward. Carrots to run with Wells and Joseph to take Harvey.
I just can't see any other option for this week. 2 boys (Cassy & Mitch) just aren't ready.
Hopefully Kruez can keep it together.
We'll win if we bring the intensity, endevour and team-work from last week.

Also:
Probably need to have T-Bird & Watto etc ruck around the ground/boundery as needed to support Krooz but not at centre bounces. Also need to utilise the 3rd man up as needed on most occassions. Need to be smart and have Krooz pace himself throughout the game. Capuano will have a full day on Friday no doubt!

I'd probably put Carrots on Harvey. The oompah loompah towelled up AJ last time didn't he??

I'd like to see one of the kids in the Ants get a run up forward and to spell out Kruezer here and there.

If it had to be anyone, Mitchell has a few more games under his belt than Casboult. Although people have mentioned he just doesn't have the fitness, I would take the risk.

I'm not so sure. The speed and style of the game now means your better off choosing someone out of form than out of fitness.

Surely one or the other. If we dont have true forwards we must rely on run and flexibility.

In: Thornton (because he can sort of do the ruckwork for 3 mins a quarter) Lucas/Dale
Out: Hampson Simpson

I reckon that gives us one marking target inside 50 and a semi back up ruckman and we can replace some of the run we lose with Simpson.

..norf are handball happy cos they're not the sharpest kicking team, so pressure and tackling needs to be held up to a high standard for 4 quarters..

Tuohy. Watson. Duigan
Joseph. Jamo. Yarran
Murph. Carrots. Scotland
Gibbs. Walker. Collins
Betts. Thornton. Garlett
Kreuz. Judd. Robbo.
Mcinnes. Army. McLean. Curnow

In Thornton & murph
Out hammer & simmo

If murph isn't 110% ready play Lucas, Dale or boots.

I know boots looked out of sorts two weeks ago but if he played a wing/hff possie and let him run it could work. He could sweep being that 3rd man up

Mitchell or Casbolt must be given an opportunity. Both have been injured recently however they both had a pre-season so should not be too much out of sorts.

I would love to see Ratts take risk and throw a smoky in there.

We could be reading the papers on Saturday morning about Carlton's new star!!!

As much as I advocate giving the kids a go playing Mitchell or Casboult would be a major mistake. They are simply not ready. Mitchell needs at least this season in the NB's and Casboult has missed a lot of football and being a knee has lost condition.

If Henderson is fit he will come in. If not they will have to go with Thornton to replace Hampson.

The only other change I can see is Simpson out for Murphy or Lucas. Just can't see more than those changes to a winning side.

Although like to see ROK get a run!!

the MRC is a shambles. Warnock misses 2 weeks for bumping a guy, meanwhile Sheturd Wellingham gets 3 weeks for dismantling a guys face.

It breaks my brain!

With Hampson injured and Warnock suspended, thank god we have Setanta to pinch hit in the ruck.................

Oh Wait! :yikes:

..very risky bringing in more 'kids' when yer already got watto and mcinnes in there.. ..and touhy is some respects is still a kid himself.. ..we start getting light-on for experience [especially so down back]..

Henderson should be back.
If Hendo isn't ready I would give Casboult or Mitchell a run.
Kreuzer to of course do most of the ruck but also play a kick behind play.
He could be the chop out insurance against Petrie and Tarrant and also add some link and support.
I hope Murphy is ready because I think we need more run and he also wins his own ball.
I would like to see a what Bell or ROK have to offer but I think we have enough youngsters in the side at the moment playing together unless Henderson and Murphy displace the injured two.

You couldn't possibly give Casboult nor Mitchell a run. They're just not ready.

It will be interesting though whether Thornton gets a chance as some thought his papers to be signed already.
