I think its back to the worry room this week. We always seem to have trouble with North.

He also said he lost 4-5 kilos and mostly all upper body strength. Makes me wonder how much effectiveness he might lose being lighter/ weaker?

Be great to see him back, but not if he's gonna risk himself.

Thanks for the update

Yes but we've only played them once a season since 2008. Most of those past 10 games were in the dark ages of the last decade. Since 2008 it's been 2-all:

Murphy as sub perhaps if he plays? Would surely be lacking fitness.

I'd rather him be the one being subbed off I think. Getting a quarter out of him seems redundant.

If we drop another one to these pretenders for no real reason, I think I will lay a giant Barry Cable on Arden St on Friday night..

From the Hun

Ratts on Murphy
“He’s not a lock in,” Ratten said.

“He was out on the track, but we’ll just have to wait and see how he pulls up and what the risk is to play him. We think he’s heading in the right direction, but we’ll make a call after today and we’ll see how he goes Thursday before we select him in the team or out of the team.”

Perhaps its his girls arm?

Ratts on Waite

"Jarrad Waite (back) and Lachie Henderson (groin) also trained this morning. Ratten said Waite was “still another week away”, while Henderson was touch-and-go"

Waite has longest two weeks until he's right in history.

This is the defining match of our season, can we finally win in 2012 when it really counts?

Norf have had it over us for so long now (even last year it was a battle to the death) and coupled with the poison Etihad venue and their yearly Grand Final friday night celebration wank fest, it's not hard to see that we will have to dig very deep to win this. They've beaten Cats and Crows @ Etihad this year, should have beaten Dons there too and were just nailed by WCE last week. On their day, a formidable team.

Last week was great, but I reckon Pies were 1% to 2% off the boil and we had nothing to lose, hence Ratts finally deciding to take risks with game day set-ups, i.e. Duigs forward. Are we the real thing, will the intensity reach the same level as last week?

Once again, the odds are ludicrous (Us $1.65 v $2.30), should be an even money bet, Roos slight favourites IMHO. If you saw what they did to us in the 3rd quarter of the Visy pre-season praccy you'll know what I mean. Petrie destroyed Hendo and Co with 7 goals, thank goodness Jamo looked better last week. Can only see Hendo going forward if he plays.

Looking forward to Friday night immensely.

Combine this with the Shinboner Spirit, and it's hard not to consider them modern day martyrs.

Don't think North are the fittest team going around.. &not just last week

Confident we will overrun them ...

Interesting what we will do for the 2nd ruck spot...

Yes now that Warnock officially has a week suspension. Have to be Thornton i'd say.

Role the dice with Casboult or Mitchell. No harm in being bold

They'd both be out on their feet by half time.

Yes, that's why Thornton is the only option.

..send Walker up against their relief ruck for laughs, they'll most likely use Goldy vs Krooz for the most part anyways..

We really do have no tall options at all. Thornton has to come in.

Going to fun to watch what we come up with but it is going to be difficult to win this game.

North will be waiting for us knowing we have no choice but play a small forward line.

We will be all about not being outmarked in our 50. Like last week our forwards will flying in packs with one arm and clenched fist. The rest will be up to our guns at ground level. Short passing and moving it down in numbers is the only way to ensure we have blokes at the fall of the inside 50 marking contests.
