Tim Watson on Game Day, FFS take your Carlton hating glasses off. There was no way Wellingham was trying to mark that ball.

Wellingham also said he didn't mean to hurt him "that much". There you go - intent.

I hope Simmo gets back ASAP. He'll be missed. Our modern day Trevor Keogh.

He also joked about Robbo's lack of brain activity...

Why don't these cowardly dingoes ever have a 'clumsy' tackle against someone like Barry Hall?

It was only Rohan Connolly defending it. Nathan Thompson reckons it was intentional, Andrew Maher called for the death sentence.

The only thing that shat me off was Wallsy. He was saying that these things happen etc.

If Simmo is out, I hope the club recognises his games run (158?). Will probably open a position for Lucas to seize his chance and be the midfield runner and linkman he should be.

I also hope the club recognises an incredible run of consecutive games, he has certainly come a long way from that first game and we WILL miss him.

Welingham's attack on Simmo was pretty piss weak, easy to knock a bloke out when he has his eye in the air looking for the footy, I hope the weak prick enjoys his holiday.

Re Kane Lucas, it is certainly a chance for him to show that he is ready to play serious senior footy, the only thing I am wondering about is why he hasn't been selected up to this point and if there has been a problem with his attitude or dedication.

I hope that if he does get a game he grabs the chance with both hands and plays the footy that he played in his first year that had us all thinking he was going to be a Jet.

I thought the worst part of it was Heath Shaw's pissweak effort in contesting the mark that lead to Wellingham having to over commit in the first place.

There was nothing in the Lonergan tackle, and there was nothing in this too. We'd not even blink an eyelid had they not been in navy blue, or if we'd had a player in the past decade that made the opposition earn a kick.

Don't think it's any worse than say Fev on Ted Richards that left him in hospital with a punctured lung back in 08 or 09?

Wallsy's opinions are a bit... odd, generally.

took his eyes off the ball - deliberate head high contact causing broken jaw - anything less than 6 weeks is an outrage

I thnk Rhino was being sarcastic?
Fev was trying to mark, Richards was running back, no head high contact, no intent, just unfortunate.

Rhino... you are kidding yourself. Lines Simmo up and goes whack. Look at the images below. Where is Wellingham looking?

Intentional all the way. Deserves to go for a row of shithouses

Not sure Wellinghams comments on Game day were very smart.

Quoted from the Hun, " ... I wanted to make sure that he was feeling all right and let him know it wasn't intentional to hurt him that much"

That's a fair indication of intent.
