I think they determined that last night. Same leg as last years' PCL? Would presume season done for Shaun.

Exactly the same as when he did it against the swans. Season over unfortunately

It was a poor act and he'll pay for it. Generally he plays the ball.

Hard to imagine what was going through his head.
I noticed a few players pull out of sliding in and going in low on a player with the ball so the AFL rule changes are working. That act by Wellingham was one from another era, or this era if you're Hawthorn esp Buddy and you get away with it

Looked great from the top deck of the southern... thought the main difference this week was the aggression at every contest. Ratten went with a 1 on 1 structure for most of the game and you could almost sense it was a "win your position". Blokes made mistakes - McInnes, Watson, Duigan. But they made sure they didn't repeat it the next time. Except for Jamo.

BOG for mine was Yarran. I thought he was the game breaker. Judd was terrific too. Simpson was in the thick of it all night until that mongrel sniped him out of the game. Wellingham a bloke who never goes in hard for a contest but happy to go hard at a guy in a marking contest. Gutless act and I hope he's gone for at least a month if the MRP has any balls.

Their supporters are ferals and generally ignorant. The stereotype isn't too far off the mark.

You think Eddie would want to do something about that Joffa wannabe that Seven kept showing as he was mouthing off after the goals. He makes Joffa look like an aristocrat

We have an idiot of our own that they always show in the cheer squad.

Isn't it nice when abit of intensity, passion and team work is present in our side.

Hard to find fault when we win.
Good game all round.
The coach basically let the players play and the players didn't let him down.

P.S. Well done Wellington showed the world what a soft c!@# you really are.

YES!

Err...well no...

There's so much lately that's negative...I'd just like tonight to be about the win!

analize the season tomorrow (actually that's today now  ) but I'd just like a little time to revel in the win.

May I suggest a visit to Nick's?

Dear Carlton Friend,

I just want to wish you all the very best of luck this evening. I know you will all be there tonight given what loyal supporters you are. I know that these games are hard for you to watch because you have to balance the fact that you grew up hating the pies and now, deep down in places you don’t like to acknowledge, you admire and respect the mighty black n Whites. It’s ok. You should know that we also admire the mighty black n whites.

If not for the fact that your team were turgid front runners with selfish players who are more interested in racking up individual awards than playing for club and jumper (and if you still had a jumper – what is that baby blue nonsense), and if they had any ounce of real football ability, we might have a modicum of respect for your team as well.

Instead, we go into the game looking forward to the destruction we will cause your already shaky egos and we fear that if the game unfolds as expected, we may never ever hear from you again.

You told us you were coming, you told us you were cooking, you told us you had no passengers. I for one have looked long and hard for evidence that any of this is true and I will continue to look for evidence of that tonight. Alas, we expect to be disappointed.

So good luck. May you enjoy a rare opportunity to enjoy players like Goldsack, Sinclair, Williams, Elliot, Blair, Maxwell, Toovey and Dawes – players who do whatever it takes to make our team better without worrying about personal awards. May you also enjoy Swan, Beams, Thomas, Sidebottom, Shaw, Cloke, Reid and jolly who are true superstars in every sense of the word. And may you enjoy our colorful supporters who are without doubt the best in football (even Joffa).

Go Pies!

Only time I saw Dawes was when he got caught HTB by first gamer McInnes

Williams and Elliot - who?
Cloke - out of his whopping 2 goal haul one was in junk time
Beams - got Carrazzo'd

etc

I thought I read somewhere, something written by a hack Age reporter that strongly suggested Ratts had lost the group? Go figure.

Maybe the reporter just needs a good sleeping pill to get a good night sleep and clear the head. They might find someone down at their club who can supply some. :garthp:

Regards Cazzesman

Funny that eh Caz, it didn't look like Ratts had lost the players last night, it just looked like they remembered that they are all mates and played with and for each other and played like a team.

Confidence and belief is a very strange thing, but it was good to see the players show that they are in it together and can trust each other, they purely and simply decided that they were not going to let each other or the coach down last night and that under no circumstances were they going to lose.

As someone posted earlier, he certainly looked drunk and dazed in the team song. His eyes were somwhat slow and glazed.
IMO he'll miss next week, it was a BIG hit
