I thought I read somewhere, something written by a hack Age reporter that strongly suggested Ratts had lost the group? Go figure.

Maybe the reporter just needs a good sleeping pill to get a good night sleep and clear the head. They might find someone down at their club who can supply some. :garthp:

Doesn't really change the fact that he probably won't be there next year. That level of effort should be there every week. That it isn't comes back on the coach. That's his responsibility.

That is Ratts biggest fault. Maybe not so much he isn't capable. It could be the players just dont have it in them to front up like that each week. Maybe it was the injuries and now we are coming back fresh.

Anyway i reckon we should all just get behind the team, coaches and staff for the rest of the season and see what we can achieve as one.
We know there will be a review at years end. After that game there wont be any change til seasons end so lets just get behind them.
It won't hurt.

Didnt NY win the NFL from about where we are now in similar circumstances.

I have been as narky to the club as the next guy. Mainly to the players but still narky. I will pull my head in until the seasons done and just watch what this team can do united as one.

Ratts is not the type u wtite off, the quicker you understand it, the better

It's not personal. And it's never about just one man. You were probably under another guise defending Pagan 5 years ago. It was great to win tonight. I'm deeply offended that anyone questions my support of Carlton - particularly when we're playing Collingwood - but to not recognise there are serious problems is just plan naive. We're not fighting it out for 8th spot because injuries have crueled us...the wheels started to fall off the game plan and the message long before that. Why were the KPI's hit tonight? No one has an answer.

Collingwood were off their game tonight and we were on. When we are and get space like that we can beat anyone, especially at the MCG.

The other bonus was that the injuries have helped us get kids like Watson, McInnes, Bootsma, Collins a run.

However, it doesnt explain our poor form for the last month.

As most people, including Doc. S have said there are issues and hopefully these will be reviewed and addressed at years end.

Obviously the words 'Spare me' have cut you to the quick. I am sorry I was so hurtful with my followup "  " and the word 'flog' instead of 'blog' after you so innocently told me to "%$^& off".

Cheer up buy watching the replay and bask in Ratts success.

I've told you before Doc, he isn't. :yikes:

What? All he did was say PM Synbad and others? And then Doc responded by telling him to !@#$%& off?

My comments are based on his responses over a long period and in particular his timing and I stand by them. The evidence is there for all to see.

We won because as in round 3 Buckley believes his game plan is superior to ours.

He let his players play their game and let ours play how we wanted. Our game plan beats collingwood.

If they weren't so cocky they may in hindsight chosen to played a more congested clearance type gad, ala Essendon*

That being said our pressure was superb, Kreuzer and Yarran of their leashes was beautiful to behold. Yazz is finally able to run freely again.

Brock played well, wasn't there a player Carlton said was too slow to make it he went to Sydney and came to Carlton to win his second Brownlow? If he plays within his limitations he still has a role at the club.

How good is Carazzo? and Captain, my Captain?

Wellingham surely 4-6 weeks, what a coward.

Yes there are issues at this club

No they were not all resolved tonight

Yes, we'll be back sparring next week

Tonight, just enjoy beating the filth :smoking:

Not rose coloured glasses after all.
That hunch...well that's football....more than that it's religion: Carlton v Collingwood.

We're real good when we're not hunted.

Really proud to see 4 quarters with Kreuzer the superior lone ruckman.
I tell you though, he's the best ruck rover in the AFL...after the bounce.
Looked like he got his bounce back, and gained a yard.
Good training usually translates to got footy.
Hammer showed the mindset for finals footy.

Team effort. Gobsmacked.

Ratts always had a Premiership to boast over with Bucks. Now he has two coaching wins as well :-)

Yeah like a wet lettuce leaf.

You have spent a month dismantling the club brick by brick and you think I have come out swinging!!!!

Come on admit it. Deep down you are seething about the result. You wanted Ratts anguished face spread over the front and back page of every paper tomorrow. Ratts with the 'hangmans noose' Photoshopped in behind him would have made your day.

I guess you will just have to wait another week for the 'Last Post' to sound. And if you and your supporters get your way then or anytime thereafter, I will support whomever comes along just as I support Ratts now. The real point is that if Ratts was replaced as Coach, with each passing day that new Coach would be 1 day closer to you wanting them gone.

Tonight I am happy and smug and you and a few others will just have to suck it up just like I have had to suck it up for the past month.

Regards Cazzesman

While we were effectively a player down for most of the match (Hammer), dare I say that that was equal to having Knockers out there? :fight:
