Great to see McInnes in. Just worried he will be thrown to the wolves like Bootsma but the kid can play.

Injury clouds over Walker & Hampson.

Cant believe Ellard is dropped and AJ remains. Curnow like McLean is a good VFL player but is limited at AFL level.

What the hell is going on with Lucas?

This could get ugly!

Ratten is Norm Smith compared to T Shaw.

Has there ever been a dumber coach?

Having been able to see a few games live this year, what shocks me is the lack of understanding in the forward half re leading. The 3 ruck policy influenced this poor performance. So happy we have more genuine forwards playing even if they are short. This means we will need to drop rhe bomb it forward tactic and be a bit more precice with movement.

The whole thing is busted Dom.

The backline is clueless without Laidler. Against the WCE there was a 10 minute period where they were in complete dissarray and David King showed it has continued.

At stoppages (even before Murph went down) the guys don't know their roles. This is especially evident inside defensive 50.

When the press is on , how in gods name are sides getting over the back so easily?

It's either they don't know how to do it or don't have the confidence to execute or just don't give a monkeys.

Ratten might not be able to get this team working but 5 minutes of listening to Tony Shaw will reduce your IQ by 5 points.

Again Synners, stretching for the sake of supporting your argument weakens it.

Kreuzer needs the rest - would not be surprised if he is a late omission and Warnock back in. Jamison's shoulder may not come up - Thornton should be in the team or if not an emergency, but Bower is the option in the emergencies if Jamo doesn't come up. the problem is we have only 2 key position players, perhaps 3 if you count Walker, but he is not a CHF. Add to that one of them was in doubt with a shoulder injury and the other is a raw though improving kid and you have to say the whole structure is out of whack. A fully fit Jamo is our best bet for Cloke, but not an ideal match-up by any means. An improving Watson will get a good chance against a very out of form Dawes and Duigan or preferably Mcinnes match up OK against Golddack. So the back half talls are OK as long as no-one goes down or has a bad one as there isn't any backup except in the rd tall role and not much flexibility either - say if Jamo went down (and remember his shoulder is a concern) we'd have little choice but Watson on Cloke (outmatched) McInnes on Dawes (massive size difference and a first-gamer to boot) and Duigan on Goldsack (significant size difference) unless we put Walker back to defence in which case we rob the forward line of the only arguable key forward.

At the other end, Walker is simply not a CHF, he will have to play the role running running and running some more, but he can't be expected to give us the focal point stand under the long ball at true CHF role. Hampson and Kreuzer aren't key forwards, especially CHF changing ruck, and the others are not even 3rd talls - Collins comes closest.

In this context the continued refusal to pick Thornton who at least has some size and experience and whilst best used as a 3rd tall is a better option to play as a KPP than anyone in the team other than Jamo and Watson is astounding despite his failure to knock the door down. He is clearly out of favour but the team is suffering because of it.

I cna accept the argument the 3 ruck experiment was persevered with because of lack of KF options meaning that in reality it was not truely 3 rucks but rather 2 rucks and a KF who is a ruckman being played out of position due to necessity, but to now move back to 2 rucks without putting in an even arguable KF instead is simply dereliction of duty by the match committee. Cetrtainly you can argue the game has moved to having 2 KPP at each end and a mixture of 3rd talls, mediums and smalls, but 2 KPP across the whole 22 is going beyond a joke.

Not really Cimm.

Ratts is pretty bad.

No stretching anything.

One thing Shaw had Ratten doesnt is connection with players and motivation... talks with passion....

Coaching is pretty much alot of things.

youre trying to choose between two shit coaches which one is less shit....

try doing that between two dog turds next time ur at the park

You managed to squeeze Eddie into a post about Ratts, ? That's going well, Is there room on your wall for a poster of Eddie and One Direction?

Who will win out?.

Your second last line makes no sense, get back to me on that I'm interested, I am, truly.

But what I'd really like to know is what Sticks (and or Ratts) did to you to make you for you to take it so personally?.

I mean, I want him gone, but you want him humiliated.

Fess up, you've hinted you have hung around the club in the past and have had dealings with Sticks. I think its only fair that we know what it is that clouds your judgement.

Dont come back with "i care about my club dont you Cimm??!!!!"

PM if its too embarrassing.

That's it Synners.
Your Pies gift pack is in the mail. Express post so you can wear their scarf and beanie tonite. I'd hate you to have to suffer for one more minute, following the vastly inferior Blues. You want the best? We'll never top the coup that got those arses prime real estate across the road from the 'G'.
Look, you need a club that reflects your superior IQ and clarity of thought. Collingwood is the powerhouse now. Not Carlton. Go on..jump across. No one would blame you. :-)

Sorry mate... just pointing out you have aterrible chip on your shoulder re Collingwood.
Even geel superiority cos Ratts is better than Shaw.

Eddies a coward.... blah blah

Just saying.
Instead of bagging that club we should be learning from them right now.

Just as we will learn that they have a few out.. probaby more than us.. and they will smash us.

and how they play for the jumper and coach.. and we dont...

These are the underlying cruxx points mate!!!...

The rest just makes you feel abit better... till 10.30 tonight....

Thought so.

Knew you had an agenda.

Until you disclose your relationship with the club in general and Sticks in particular, you can't be taken seriously.

I'm wildly optimistic about tonight.

They have several big guns all lining up to force their way back in the team next week. I think a few players will feel the perceived pressure of knowing their head is on the block, and they'll play accordingly. Also the general feeling of collingwood, is there's no need rush guys back, because they will win by 10 goals without em. They're due for a let down.

We should be hungrier and harder at the ball than them.

If we had Henderson on Cloak and a fit Jamo on Dawe I'd put my paycheque on us winning by 3 goals...Without them, we'll win by less than a kick.

Carlton -- 13. 5. 83
Collingwood -- 10. 18. 78

Greg Denham was on radio this morning and is surprised that Jamo is playing. He said his shoulder keeps popping out and often does at training. He will have surgery at the end of the year. He thinks we will get beaten by 12 goals. He also mentioned that Warnock will be gone at the end of the year and mentioned GWS.
I am not going tonight, have legit reasons so good luck to those going.
Go Blues.
