Garletts been taking the piss for 6 weeks, particularly when you consider how close we got to Geelong and WCE and he didn't have a go. I hope he kicks 5 but on effort he should be lining up with the NB's.

Curnow for Ellard. I'm ok with that.

Exactly....cannot use Laidler Waite Murphy as an excuse tomorrow.

Why would Lucas want to stay has alot more upside than Curnow and Mclean who offer shit to this footy side at least he can run for starters play forward , midfield and back .

Ratts not picking his team based on form is one of his major weakness.

The non selection of Lucas is a joke. Sellers will be pulling out what little hair he's got left tonite :banghead: :banghead: Can you imagine him at the Filth - the bloke would be averaging 3 goals a week and be commanding $350k in his next contract

Fine with Ellard making way for Curnow. One C grader for another.....no biggie.

Pies by 66 after a spirited 15 min patch from the Baggers.

Inspirational speech by Ratts when he handed him jumper...... Not

No mention of being as tough as Rhys-Jones etc

Was like getting a school jumper from your mum!

C'mon Ratts he's wearing it for the first time against the arch-enemy a bit of fire in the belly wouldn't go astray.

Curnow played v Pies Rd 3, so I guess MC must have been impressed with the role he played, hence he gets another crack, helped by some good NB form lately. Ellard didn't play in that game.

I still have hopes for Curnow, his first 5 or 6 games last year were way beyond what Ellard has done over a longer time frame.

Walker in Waite out since last time, Warnock didn't play that game either.

Murph and Laids the big outs since Rd 3, but no Pendles for them.

I'm a bit with Gerry's earlier post, its sad and frustrating we go into this game as rank underdogs, logic tells you that we should be quite competitive. I could only see us winning if ALL of Kreuzer, Garlett and Yarran suddenly found the form switch, as unlikely as that is.

Thought the same. Looked and sounded like a man who knew he shouldn't really be there. Hope his pre-game is a bit more convincing.

Dont mind the selections. Our mobile forward line is the one strength we have over their backs.
Lots of movement and leading back into space will see their plodders exposed.
Good to see Collins in, he offers some class and smarts which will hopefully see our forward line function with a bit more space.
Curnow deserves another opportunity and Anthony McInnes is being rewarded for good VFL form.
I would have liked to see Bower get a guernsey over Watson but thems the breaks.

I'm just wanting to see the boys come out and have a real crack. Its amazing how quickly confidence can be restored if a couple of our players really stand up. No excuses for juddy and Simmo tomorrow night. The Pies rarely tag so the boys will have every opportunity to hit some form.
As long as Ratts doesnt complicate things too much with untried strategies, I'm expecting the boys to show some real effort and give the Pies a shake.
Once again, the centre square results will go a long way toward determining the outcome so the ball is in our court.
Go Blues.

And one of the many reasons we are spiralling. His man management is imconsistent, incongruous and divisive. Forgive me for what I'm about to write but, "I hope we get belted by 100 points plus" Let's see Sticks defend him then

Pies team is monstrously shit on paper, all things considered. Am expecting a win. No shit. Confidence is high for the first time in weeks. Clearly, I am unstable.

Why do people seem to not see what i see in Army.
He's my first picked each week
been in very good form
Tackles hard, chases hard and puts his head over the footy. IS TOUGH
Has speed to burn

Why do i see people name teams without him?
In a team with probably 15 or more players who are woefully out of form or are playing with niggles/injury he is worth his weight in gold

He's in my first 22 this year and last and the one before that.
I may not pick him first, but he's a gimme in my team for the attributes you mentioned. Hard at it and speed to burn; can kick a goal.

The Truth is guys, Ellard, Mclean & Curnow can't all play in one Side... Its like the Three Ruckmen Experiment that failed badly. Ellard is Stiff, I rate him higher than McLean.

Warnock is a Lazy Footballer. He is been a Liability for us in the Ruck, however he is still a Tap Ruckman better than Kruzer and Hampson, so I am afraid we are going to be killed in the Middle, don't think we will get our hands on it...

Hampson has been terrible. Maybe its time We give him a Run role as a Ruck/Ruck Rover and see how he goes. His Forward Experiment has been one of the Reasons why our forward Line has been non Functional. He needs to be moved on!!!

Always get a bit of a chuckle out of some of the stuff that gets posted here at selection time. Doesn't matter who gets picked or who doesn't there's always plenty of posters furious with something.

I'm pretty happy with the selections. Plenty of speed in our forward half which should cause them a few headaches if we're up and about. Pies form isn't as good as their record suggests so if we come to play we're in with a chance.

Swans Hawks Cats all play 3 in and under midfielders but carlton cant is because they carry to many ouside players collins simmo yarran betts garlett gibbs scotland curnow all outsiders and to many of them we are relying on Judd and carrotts to do all the grunt work

Worst side to win 10 in a row :sly:

Not a patch of the legendary Streak Saints of 2004.
