Received an email at work from somebody "in the know" at the club.

Source unknown.

Ratten is on a 2 year contract, but it is believed to be a 1 + 1 option. That 2nd option will not be given.
A review has been undertaken for about 3-4 weeks now.
Justin Cordy will no longer be employed by the club as of the Collingwood game.
If losses occur to both Collingwood and North Melbourne, Ratten is 80% likely to be released early.
If Ratten is dismissed, Alan Richardson will become interim coach.
Malthouse just has to be asked, once a vacancy occurs, and he will say yes. The question is whether he is asked.
If Malthouse comes, Scott Burns is being strongly sought in an assisted role, and you can expect Richardson to stay. That would make an ALL COLLINGWOOD coaching panel at Carlton. Who’d have thought?

The Pratts favour Paul Roos over Malthouse. Paul Roos does not want to coach and his family are very entrenched in Sydney. The Pratts on (and overall size of) the board is a problem as they believe they should have a strong say on how the club is run because of the amount of $$ injected. The board numbers (at an obscene 13, most of any club) needs to be reduced. This is part of the bigger issue. For example, Bruce Mathieson who contributes over $1M per year to the club has no desire to be on the board, but will always help financially. The Pratts need to be non-board benefactors, or it will become a problem for Roos or Malthouse who demand more control.

More news as I get it. Lots of connected people offering up information at the moment. Let’s see what unfolds.

Don't bullshit the bullshitters Benj. That 'email' is just snippets taken from TC! It's not news. But they haven't done their homework...The board will consist of 11, rather than the current 12 members at years' end. And if you really believe that in July anyone is being 'sounded out' for an assistant coaches position - you've rocks in your head. Think about it. Then post.

80% likely?

What were the determining factors in it not being 81 or 79%?

You've just done the day's work for quite a number of journalists out there, well done. And this'll be the 'unnamed sources' for all Carlton talk for the next few days.

I received an email this morning too!

We are 70% likely to play finals. Ratten will coach until the end of the year.
We will sign Cloke, Goddard and Boak.

this is fun!

I received an email this morning.

Apparently I left my lunch on the kitchen bench.

It was nice of my missus to offer to bring it in for me.

I got an email this morning. I don't usually share this stuff, but because you're Carlton people, I know I can trust you all.

I've won €12,000,000 in a Microsoft sweeps lottery. As soon as my cheque comes in and clears (less agent fees of course), I'll single-handedly rescue the club with my winnings. I have big plans underway as we speak.

Oh, yeah, apparently I can wow all the women with my newly huge penis too.
