I have no problem if Mathieson or anyone else wants to challenge for Presidency, if that's what you mean. More challengers the better really, they just need to step up.

scarps Matheson lives in Qld.
The silly boys club has a board of 13 people on it including the head of the silly boys club Elliot creation given the tag captain of the century and bogan extraordinare and now worlds longest serving reluctant president FrankenSticks...TWO Pratts... when im not sure what two can do that one couldnt... and every tom dick n harry thats challenged them.
They have been busy shoring themselves up with Sticks havent they???

Bottom line is this.. with all these people on the board theyre hopeless.
Massive light weights in the footy world.

Theyre doing this for themselves not the club.
Meanwhile as they shore theselves up other players arent interested.
You know why Scarps?

These bozos are allowing the club to become less significant in peoples lives.
Its not im portant enough for a Mitchell or a Fahour to create a blood bath... so they walk away....

as do memebers that just become supporters.. like yours truly.
In the end Scarps.. they will have their toy.. all to themselves...
It will be the boys club and a couple of rich people who never played but always wanted to be involved ....

Good luck to them when that happens Scarps....

rabble!!!

The character of the club will be determined over next nine weeks - failure to make finals will demand changes. I am a supporter through thick and thin, regardless. I back the club to turn this around although Friday will be ugly. A spirited and tough contest on Friday is absolute minimum. The club has a real challenge on its hands with morale very low but it can turn very quickly.

Character of what Scarps??
the club or the team??

The clubs character is up there for display for anyone who wants to open their eyes.
Its a rotting carcass...

Even MAtheson had to weigh in for change today....

The team???

The team will be different next year Scarps.. as long as we do the right things right throughout.

Did you like Sticks telling Bruce the club was travelling nicely off field... kicking goals???

I think he meant to say "offel"

We have been shit for over a decade on and off the field compared to the successfull clubs.

We wait and wait and wait.........................................

The reason we are in this position is because the wrong people have been appointed.

It starts at the top

Get that wrong and its shit flowing downstream which eventually leads to shit players playing shit football by a shit coach with a one shit game plan.

Ratten can count himself lucky. He will earn around one million bucks for coaching possibly 14 games in a league where he is punching above his weight.

Not bad for a guy who is going through a divorce, probably paying shitloads of childsupport and having a new wife and baby around.

He should have never been appointed in the first place but he was because the club is clueless.

The board as Synbad points out is a joke. It stinks of Carlton arrogance.

Hopefully it will end at the end of the year.

Matheson is in the position of seeing his hard earned being flushed down the toilet by this useless club.

Change needs to start at the top but it can only come from someone with clout and the motivation such is the hold this board has on any major change.
But it will happen and the wheels look like there finally in motion.
Thats what happens when you have a crisis.
An interesting time awaits

I don't know whether to go  or :banghead: ...I guess you're trying hard, but you just don't get it. You say turn it around...turn what around? The fortunes of the footy TEAM?...unlikely...but anything is possible - and I hope they do...but for the most part - we're talking off-field. That can't be turned around quickly. Take the blinkers off scarponi...stop trolling, and take the blinkers off.

Jeannie is on board so Pratt is not dead. Who has more balls attempting to turn a sinking ship and making it a powerhouse being constantly vindicated in the public eye is my question

He's dead FFS! Jeannie is about as useful as tits on a bull. Bruce Mathieson has done more for this club than the Pratts...you just don't know about it.

So with the great PRatt name on the board... we get a carcass...????

Whats vice president jeanie actually contributed to this board exactly???

(apart from a pratt presence)

Pratts stepped up when we needed someone desperately, so he has done alot for the club and it was non conditional. Geoffery Eddleston has probably put as much in the club and few others that work behind the scenes that you probably never heard of.

That's besides the point.

The point is, who has the guts to step up and challenge.

Scarps just so you understand whats going on.

The Pratts might give the club 8 million over 12 years on the drip.

But theyre not doing it in the one hit .. to do so means they lose power and influence over the club.
So ultimately its ego isnt it????

I would say since the salary cap penalties... Bruce has given more to this club pound for pound that the Pratts.. and by a long way.

But he doesnt have 2 Mathiesons on the board... though one will come on soon

Cos hes concerned..!!!.. but also cos his nephew is capable...

Jeanie and the son in law???

pffffffffffffffft!!!

Look Praatt did a wonderfu job giving the club hope.. but he also gave us a couple of unwanted things.
A handout reliant board
Sticks became king
and a couple of extra deadwood board members than we had in the first place

seriously mate there are so many captain obviouses here its not funny.
Finally someone who has some clout has come out and said the captain obvious
Mathieson might not become President because he lives in Queensland but a guy with his intelligence and history would be thinking ahead and I bet he has someone or two in mind to cause the change this club desperately needs.

scarps

just understand this

if there was a report from a review of the club...
it would discredit alot of people around the club...

from the president all the way down.....

that should throw open all the seats on the board to election.

Then that would allow other people to put their hands up.

Shamlessly hogging everything and not allowing anybody from the outside in.. which is whats happenng now...means the club is running on 2 cylinders.

Here is an example

Fahour wants to join the board no invite
Pratts son in law???.. he gets an invite

Now in 2 years Pratts son in law has been on the board im not sure what his value is cos the whole board is directionless

Now we have Jeannie on the board as Vice PResident...like so many on the board...she never entered via an election.

UNLIKE BRUCE who did!!!

... but shes co vice president... TWO V Presidents... wow!! u need 2 if you look at the sheer heft of that board...

Scarponi... would you beieve we have a 37 leaf board table???.. it will continue opening and getting bigger to infinity if thats what it takes for them to include everyone on that board that offers an alternative....

BTW Jeannie wanted to be president.. the compromise was V Prez for JEanie....

I can just see her on the footy show too...

No need to be a child.

Unlikely 90% of you vote at AGMs and majority that do take a calm and measured approach.

Which is needed, now.

Synbad if the external audit is poor then changes are required. If we fail to make finals changes are required. One thing though the incremental improvement of the clubs financial statements are not poor. So it will come down to process, process improvement how decisions are made etc. I dont think anyone knows how poor or how good the clubs processes really are.

Actually a review is whats needed now...

Calm and measured is what you say to people when you wish them to be calm and measured cos theyre angry with u....

A bit like the arm around the shoulders Mx smart used to do after he tried punching the big guy that didnt give...

This is a time for a review!!!...

Dont like it do you???.... neither do your masters...

The clubs processes are non existent!!!

The clubs off field can be measured with how they compare against the big clubs .

Poor!!!

Everthing can be assesed

Its not hard..... just coming out and saying all is great doesnt make it so.

Reality is, how you stack up !!!!

How do we stack up????
