You're kidding, right? You really think they were just a crap side in 2010, and miraculously turned it around?

If you believe that, I've got a lovely steel bridge at Kirribilli for sale, I'll let you have it for mate's rates because you're a Carlton man....

If Ratts isn't there next year, I hope the new coach is somebody who genuinely wants the job.
I can't see the point of trying to ''talk somebody into taking the job''. Why bother wasting time with Roos, Malthouse and possibly Mark Thompson if we've got to go cap in hand to sell ourselves to these blokes.

Plenty of others would take the job gratefully. Blokes like Scott Burns, Ken Hinkley or maybe even Mark Harvey I think would grab it in a heartbeat.

I'm not actually pushing up for Burns , Hinkley or Harvey, just using them as an example of what's out there.

We need someone who WANTS to be here, not someone who has to be talked into being here.

Ratts is safe till the end of the season.
But panic sets in with performances.

So more shitty performances i daresay Sticks will get the nervous nellies...

I think if we don't make the finals then Ratts will most likely resign. Ratts has done everything the club has asked of him but unfortunatly it seems that injury and lack of endevour by the players when it was needed most will cost him his job.

I agree with that.

Rohan Connelly's article today was telling. If the coach goes or if he doesn't - regardless - there has to be a thorough independent review of every position at the club.

I personally have concerns that there seems to be a over representation of the 1995 premiership team in key positions, although there seems to a good sprinkling of outside influences with the coaching panel.

I'm confused and heartbroken.

I saw the interview on TV. It means that some of it is.

A lot of what Connelly wrote made a lot of sense. Unfortunately, this club doesn't do "thorough" or "independent" at the moment.......

Yep i think the honourable thing for Ratten to do after guaranteeing a top 4 berth this year is to die on his sword.

Great discussion on 360 tonight about the Blues. Hopefully Wookie is all over it.
