Nice article.
Unsure how to link from iPhone.
Key points:
Plan for 2013.
Drop Garlett to find form.
Play Gibbs where he's to be used in 2013.
Don't play jamo anywhere but KPD.
Drop McLean for Lucas cos McLean is a goner and Lucas has upside.
Persist with Collins
Trade wait and get recruiters to focus on tall fwds
Play yarran in guts to let him know what fitness he requires next season.
Play betts in guts in spurts to provide another string to bow when he's quiet fwd.
And final paragraph which I love.....basically saying the quicker the likes of Russell, Joseph, Bower & Thornton are gone the better so there isn't that temptation there to play them. They aren't players deserving to be a part of a top 4 team.

Who can fwd this onto Ratts & co???

"Hilarious" is kinder that what I was thinking reading that BR.
Trade Waite and get a tall forward .... excuse me?
Either Waite's fit and up and about, in which case he is our tall foward or ...
he's broken and we wouldn't be able to give him away.

Waite the tall forward is funny Kev!

he is as much a tall forward as if is trade worthy.

anything about ratten getting replaced?
more fluff writing by walls.

was the best center half forward we ever had in my lifetime though.

I agree with Wallsy.

There wasn't a CHB who could beat Wallsy at CHF.
Wallsy played some brilliant cameos at FF too.

We need a Walls type at CHF right now.

A lot of it made sense. And that's exactly why Ratts won't do any of it. Best strategy for now (as painful as it will be for all of us) is for Ratts to coach out the year and that'll ensure we win about 3 more games tops. That should get us a decent draft pick, and we can then sack him and get Mick.

Very tempting to sack him now but we may win more games due to the "new coach" syndrome.

We need to win games under the new coach syndrome.
The players must show theyre capable and willing to stay on the list.

Were murdering them as thin gs stand.

There is a stench of death and players are beginning to think they have nothing to offer.

Its a flower elephants graveyard out there now.

thats my whole point of bringing in a new head who can breathe new life into them and hopefully they have a few weeks to show who they ar e and what can be done or not...

Were focussing on Ratts not the team.

Ratts is finished.. but we need to salvage something from the team and the players

Walls is getting paid to do the Blue Print.. he has Masters...and he will appease them...Sticks was his premiership captain.

Too much unaccountability at Carlton

The club is a footy that gets kicked around by egos

Never been keen on mid-season coach change, but in this case I'm with your reasoning. There are guys playing for their careers.

I am too. We have so many players out of contract and have only re-signed 3 so far. Think back a couple of years when Grigg, Jacobs, Thornton, O'Hailpin and Walker all asked to be traded and that was coming off a pretty good year. It seems any problems have been going on for a while, since then Icke has left as has Hyde and we hear of a falling out with Cordy.
Something is certainly not quite right.

If ratts is toast, then I see no point in sticking with him. Id rather sack him now, why waste two months. Get some in as a caretaker, play some kids. Sort out who is going to stay. If kerr, mccarthy, casbolt etc etc dont get a chance then you need to question if they are to be persisted with.

Look at watson! Most were writing him off 6 weeks ago, he's more than holding his own out their.

Its time to move on. Get tge sydney recuiting bloke, and draft some footballers.
