I always wonder how many of you would say the things you say here, face to face with those you post about?

I love the club, I will buy my membership regardless and I will support them in my own way no matter how they are traveling.

Indeed.

People in dire straits often take solace in their footy (or other) club, and use it as an escape from the harsh reality of their "real" life. Don't underestimate the role sport plays in this regard.

Point 1) Posters are pouring vitriol on people they don't even know. How many of you have ever met Justin Cordy or even know what he looks like. Every rumor here is treated as gospel and peoples characters are shredded on the basis of some anon poster on a web site. Here's a fact. Just because you post here doesn't make your words true and factual. That is a fact that gets lost in the witch hunt.

Should the recruiting staff berate every player who doesn't make it because they have failed us? Should every player be held up to ridicule because someone is better than them? By all means berate the Recruiters but leave the kids out of it.

Point 2) I watched 88 kids run around today at Geelong. Some will make it onto an AFL list and some will not. I can back it in that all 100% who make it to 1 AFL game will be spoken about negatively by some faceless wonder on a website. And I can back it in 110% of those drafted by Carlton most certainly will trashed for no real reason other than the trashee is anon.

point 3) GWS I am as shattered as anyone about our plight because I like many had high expectations for this season. But come-on, you are far more educated than to suggest you would give a flying fig about Carlton if a member of your family was ill or your business was on the decline.

grro the entire world has issues and most are life and death minute by minute. Some on here seem to think the end of the world is near because CFC is struggling. The vitriol and hatred in the posts of many beggars belief.

People need to get a life, pure and simple. I understand people need to have a passion and a hobby and it is mine, but for goodness sake supporters need to just get a grip on reality.

It is 2 hours in a week out of 168 hrs. Show some perspective for goodness sake. It's a piece of leather moved from 1 end to the other, that's all it is. A large portion of the world population doesn't have enough to eat or pot to piss in.

Nothing personal from me. I have always rated Caz as a poster. But he has gravely misjudged the timing of what he is trying to say here, whether the message is right or not.

Not really. You'll read your posts back tomorrow and realise how heartless they seem to people who are hurting for the footy club that they love and put their life into. I'm not one of them by the way - I'm a pragmatist and would care much more if my local footy club was going through this sort of shit - I have a real buy in there. But I can see how what you are saying, from the position you hold, looks callous and heartless to a whole bunch of people on here.

Some people mightnt believe this but Cazz is a great guy and a mate .
What we argue about makes not difference to how i rate him as a bloke or a CFC supporter

He belives what he thinks and says what he believes.
