Nah i think Cazz is going through the first stage...

Denial.....

Took him abit longer than most people .. but hes getting there.....

Truth is the club was wallpapered pretty well ... but the cracks are starting to show through.....

Where that breaks down is there are no actual shareholders, and the dividends the club pays are nothing more than bragging rights over mates who follow different clubs.

If you want to make this a discussion about who loves the club more, you or I than go ahead. As supporters we are shattered because expectations have not been met. I understand that. It just grates me over and over that the nastiness directed to people I know and like, flows like an open tap here.

I always wonder how many of you would say the things you say here, face to face with those you post about?

I love the club, I will buy my membership regardless and I will support them in my own way no matter how they are traveling.

Regards Cazzesman

So what you're saying is, Cazz, is that the 44 blokes on our playing list all have dying relatives and failing business interests?

Personally, I would relish the opportunity to tell the board, coach etc. what I think.

The second point however it concerning. Effectively you don't give a sh1t as long as you are involved.

That goes both ways Mr Cazz.
Youre very quick to get personal with your photo posting skills.

Football players get abused.

Its been that way since the day dot.

If you want to see a sport where everybody sits on their hands... it should be called Opera

Just because you post here doesn't make your words true and factual. That is a fact that gets lost in the witch hunt.

Should the recruiting staff berate every player who doesn't make it because they have failed us? Should every player be held up to ridicule because someone is better than them? By all means berate the Recruiters but leave the kids out of it.

Point 2) I watched 88 kids run around today at Geelong. Some will make it onto an AFL list and some will not. I can back it in that all 100% who make it to 1 AFL game will be spoken about negatively by some faceless wonder on a website. And I can back it in 110% of those drafted by Carlton most certainly will trashed for no real reason other than the trashee is anon.

point 3) GWS I am as shattered as anyone about our plight because I like many had high expectations for this season. But come-on, you are far more educated than to suggest you would give a flying fig about Carlton if a member of your family was ill or your business was on the decline.

Whooooahhhh!

Might just have missed your target there.

Not sure where I was criticizing any kid or performance coach.

I've had a problem with the appointments of Kernahan and Ratten from the beginning but I was always willing to give any person who represents the club a chance to make it work.

It hasn't.

Time's up for both of them.

And telling football fans that they'd be worse off if they were starving (or whatever) is about as smart a political move as... @#$%&! I can't even think of one.

grro the entire world has issues and most are life and death minute by minute. Some on here seem to think the end of the world is near because CFC is struggling. The vitriol and hatred in the posts of many beggars belief.

People need to get a life, pure and simple. I understand people need to have a passion and a hobby and it is mine, but for goodness sake supporters need to just get a grip on reality.

It is 2 hours in a week out of 168 hrs. Show some perspective for goodness sake. It's a piece of leather moved from 1 end to the other, that's all it is. A large portion of the world population doesn't have enough to eat or pot to piss in.

seriously??

give it away if thats how you feel! i dont want to fork out thousands in membership fees every year for that money to then be paid to someone that then tells me its just a piece of leather that moves from 1 end to the other.

if thats the attitude within the club then you can all go and get [REDACTED]!

If that's how you're feeling about football then I reckon you need a break from it.

It might not be life and death but it's metaphorical life and death. This is how "civilized" societies work through their angst.

I want every employee of my football club to bleed every year they don't win a premiership. Being told to get a grip on reality and think about world poverty tells me that you're not really understanding the reason we love our game and particularly our club.

Sorry mate.

I can assure you that you still will care..and so will family members, and friends who know you love the club. For varying reasons. :-)

(earlier reply to this now noted and appreciated. )

The response to my initial post has been pure TC. Because I offered a different take on the way I see and support CFC and those who work there, I am now presumed to be 'Less than a real diehard supporter and not worthy of being an employee" (my words paraphrased of course).

I guess that just goes to show how myopic some here on TC are.

Not really. You'll read your posts back tomorrow and realise how heartless they seem to people who are hurting for the footy club that they love and put their life into. I'm not one of them by the way - I'm a pragmatist and would care much more if my local footy club was going through this sort of shit - I have a real buy in there. But I can see how what you are saying, from the position you hold, looks callous and heartless to a whole bunch of people on here.

Nothing personal from me. I have always rated Caz as a poster. But he has gravely misjudged the timing of what he is trying to say here, whether the message is right or not.

Some people mightnt believe this but Cazz is a great guy and a mate .
What we argue about makes not difference to how i rate him as a bloke or a CFC supporter

He belives what he thinks and says what he believes.

Were poles apart in what we think but hes hurting.....

We all are.
Lets drop it

Am I not hurting? What does my position have to do with it? I was a supporter many, many years before an employee. I watch kids run around and hand in names at the end of the year. I try to get it right as does everyone in the AFL who does the same thing. Perhaps as an employee that might give me leave to be hurting even more than the average supporter because I have an understanding of the kids involved but to say that out loud might be considered presumptuous by some.

Heavs I have no problems with 95% of what is posted about the club, the players, the board and especially the recruiting staff at the club I support but the deep seated nastiness has got me tonight.

Regards Cazzesman
