Pagan footy all over again. It's beyond depressing.

Ratts is obviously done but the problems won't end when a new bloke walks through the door. Can't coach desire IMO and we're in short supply. Time for the players as well as the coaches to take some responsibility.

No but you can create direction, belief and confidence.
A good coach can but if the players don't want to put in what's required we're not going anywhere no matter who is coaching.

stab it, and see if it disintegrates.

We (ie. sticks and the board) just need to grow some...and make the call...NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think the majority believe we have the talent to be higher than we are, a new coach may just renew the players belief again.

This same group wasn't soft in September last year.

Yeah, definitely watch it. I don't want to give anything away, but there's a real surprise in the last quarter.

..watching how well Watto is coming along, further baffles me why players like Lucas aren't getting a consistent run..

On talent we should definitely be challenging for the top 4 but we're still a flawed side so we're no guarantee for success. They certainly weren't soft in September but they were soft in a lot of games in the lead up which is part of the problem. They still pick and choose when they give 100% and hope that talent alone will see them through.

Well there you go, Kreuzer barely able to walk across dressing room with knee heavily iced. He needs to be allowed to rest for the remainder of the season.

We have one of the best lists in the AFL.

Possibly.

I often wonder how many of our players would be certain selections for teams such as filth, Hawks and Geelong.

Judd.
Murphy.
Maybe Betts and Carrazzo.

No disrespect for others like Scotland, Walker, Kreuzer, Garlett etc. And maybe I'm basing this on current form (or at least form over a lengthy period) rather than best form.

But I do wonder.

And you are right - the best lists are the lists that play as one.

Apologies to female members on this site. But there were 21 blokes with vagina's running round out there tonight. I reckon the Vixen's would have smashed us off the ball. At least all the boys still get their pay packet but so that's good for them.

Anyone who thinks Sticks will sack Ratts is kidding themselves.

Just look at his pre-game comments.

He has a philosophy of "Stand by your man"/mate.

This crap will continue for the rest of the year. Unless we get a Dean Bailey coach killer game.

Seems we are choosing every week now....going backwards it seems....maybe Ratts can get the players to choose differently again....

Nah. You'll get half way through it and then realise you've seen it before.

Few coach killer kicks. Bootsma a couple of times, Simpson in the second, Robo and scotland plenty of times but none worse than that entry at the start of the third and then Walker turned to mouth off at him while they broke down the other end for a goal.

So that explains why we lost?

Didn't help. Skills were poor and those kicks came at times when we were in the game and resulted in inside 50's for them.

That and we fielded a team with a load of reserve players. The best you can do is hope to beat the hawks with a team with Mclean, ellard, Bootsma, Watson, Garlett and a bunch of out of form players like Walker, Kreuzer, Touhy and Jamo.

Look at their team next to ours. They have better players.

Had we played a Goal Keeper Tonight, we could have Saved few Goals!!!

I Seriously Can not understand how We got Sliced open Again and Again. All I could see is Three Hawks players running Alone towards our Goal and having practice Shots.

How could this happen? NO Accountability what so ever!!!

Bootsma is not Ready for the AFL. He is still a kid, a School Kid. His body is not built yet... he needs few years in the VFL....

Playing Gartlett as a sub was real Dumb.

and another thing

I think it was brilliant to sub Boots off as early as possible

I mean we wouldn't want to try him somewhere else - see what happens would we, !@#$%& we might develop him.

Na sub him off, he'll learn from that!

Was the right call, he was out of his depth this evening, out bodied and beaten upstairs by the look + an attempt to offer Garlett for some spark up forward.
