What will tonight bring? The way I see it there are three outcomes:

1. We get flogged. Talking Carlton blows up, we all get drunk to drown our sorrows and serious questions are asked of the whole club, and maybe Ratt's days are numbered.
2. We go close... the status quo will remain, we all get drunk cause the game is close. Those that were expecting us to make top 4 challenge for a flag remain pissed off, however the media leaves us alone somehwhat due to our injuries.
3. We win. Talking Carlton blows up, we all get drunk to celebrate, Synbad has a stroke from shock, Ratten is a champion again and we remain happy for another week. The wallpaper will cover the cracks well!

We have no forwards tonight, thats clear. The night won't suit the big forwards anyway, so maybe it dosent hurt us that much. Perhaps we need to say to Kruze, don't be any further away from 30m out from goal, have the 3 little blokes between 60 and 30m out, try and exploit there tallish defence. Put Robo on Gibson, make him accountable all night, what he does to Fletcher. Give the challenge to a few blokes, Jamo your on Buddy all night, make him your bitch.. AJ well you seem to do well on Rioli, make him your bitch.. Gibbs, get your knees dirty, play on Mitchell.

I think all we want is something different, a real hard crack against a side that has embarrassed us for far too many years.

It is time for those that haven't earned that jumper to earn it tonight, crack in.. i don't really care if someone gets rubbed out for a few weeks, the mongel showed that years ago.. sometimes its takes a moment of delibrate stupidity to wake the rest from their slumber!!

Football is all about moments, all about momentum, win tonight and the season isn't shot. Lose tonight and it probably is. Its your call blues, an early holiday in September and another year of false promises.. or stand up..
MAKE THOSE DIRTY HAWKS YOUR BITCH.

My 5 day old son will bring us luck & get us over the line tonight. His nappies might be hawthorn but his future is Carlton.

Yarran will play full forward and steer us to a fairly encouraging 265 point victory.

We were picking up my SIL from the airport and a guy got off the same flight (from Brisbane) in a Carlton polo and two thoughts crossed my mind:

1. I wonder if he posts on TC.
2. Why the hell would you fly down to watch the Blues given the team's current form and recent record against Hawthorn?

I'd like to think the boys want to win, no matte what they think about coaching and training methods.
So, yeah, I'd like to see them go all out for 4 quarters.
I'd love to see them win.
Lachy and Laids both out is tough. Don't understand why Lucas and Collins aren't playing.
I think Brocky will tear it up tonite, and I hope Gibbs is allowed to play with some freedom.
I hope we don't play to just curb the damage..that will make me very :hitcomputer:
I hope they come out and surprise us all. Even themselves. :-D

I would play Gibbs on Buddy. Buddy is not dangerous over head but is quick and we need someone with footy smarts to stay on him. I would play Jamo on Roughhead.

I just don't want to see Gibbsy wasted in a shut down role all nite. I know it makes sense to do that..but I'd rather we rotate a few with Buddy.

So 3 ruckmen is bad, but Bower instead of Hampson is OK?

Beautiful winters day in Canberra. End of financial year so pressure is off work for a few days. Not playing footy tomorrow. Going to kick back, keep on drinking and give a care what happens. After all, it's just footy right. If that's what the blokes wearing the jumper think why should I care any different.

..ahem..

....worried about carrying injured/hampered players in these conditions.. ..am thinking we'll need to play 'finals footy' off the very first bounce, if we give them a head start they'll control us [once again]..
