It's not lost on me that you joined this site on April Fool's Day. There's something very familiar about your posts...sure you haven't posted under another alias before? Maybe many aliases.

You mean inverted Obama? :-o

I think I've written more than enough. If you don't understand where I'm coming from and understood that it's as much about what many of the board haven't done as much as what they have done, then you're not reading, merely trolling.

I respect your first post. I have no issue with it. It's what followed...then manifestations that occur in forums I guess...and of course anyone that disagrees is a troll, obviously.

what are you counter arguments

that 1 = 18 and last = 1 dollar

that you are not here for opinions

that you are a supporter (oh how I love that one - Sydney would remember the old - true supporters stuff...didn't you have to live in Melbourne once upon a time...)

here are some facts scarpi

this site is all about opinions

this thread is about opinions on particular things

counter those opinions with your own - by all means

or read other threads

but if we converted this site to facts only - well I guess we could have threads

1 put up the scores each week
2 teams each week
3 injuries reported

about it really

Welcome to reporting facts

this week Carlton are 6 6
and having a bye

which is maybe why club we can talk about sticks - no venting here of another @#$%&! loss this week!!!!

carry on

How about putting up past five annual reports to witness the great turn around the club has made and maintaned fantastic growth rates over past three years. Those that vote, that's all that matters.

If CFC was a company they say a retracement is always healthy..it gives the company a wake up call. Facts we are two games out of top 4. You have Geelong v Sydney & Collingwood v WCE this week.. so at worst case scenario we will be 3 games out of top four. I am not happy with the way the season is going - but I am also prepared to SUPPORT [interesting concept, huh] the club in order to find its feet and excel at the pointy end of season.

Questioning the club's direction does not equal a lack of support. I pay my membership, I contribute to the player sponsorship and I try to do my best with the TC twitter feed during game days. I want my club, our club, to be winning games! And actively support that cause.

But I support the club first, the people of the day second. The people will come and go, the club will always remain. So I want what's best for the club.

I certainly go into every game anticipating/hoping/barracking for a win.

One person's troll is another person's Richmond supporter.

One of the most intolerant commenters in this thread has been your good self.

Like Collingwood whose revenue and income has completely stagnated even with hyper membership? Or do you have someone else in mind? Much prefer to be in Carltons shoes than Collingwoods going forward off the field - growth rates are non-compareable. Collingwood are at top of bell curve, right now. So they either pinch a flag next two years or they probably need to wait for as long umm maybe Brisbane will.

Someone (SB?) said something like 'oh that's Collingwood we can't expect to match them '- well there's how we are traveling... even those who think we are traveling well don't think we can assume a leading place anymore.

17 years ago Collingwood was a basket case

now we can't catch them, don't even bother trying...

not our fault though, we're just 1 of 9 clubs in Melbourne... poor us its all too tough...

Of course anyone that wants the board sacked without facts and wants to be taken seriously is a troll or Richmond supporter, I think it's obvious or god forbid maybe irrational..nah not here.

People would be selling shares like there's no tomorrow.

The smart money would have bought in 2007-08, held on through the Fevola debacle, and started selling at quarter-time during the Essendon* game. If they were really smart they would have sold straight after the Collingwood game. I'm not that smart, so I wouldn't have been offloading my shares at that point, haha.

And Ratten would be under way more heat than he is now. And Kernahan. And Swann.

Nice analogy, comparing the club to a top flight company, thanks for helping the cause.

Actually, if Carlton was a company in true sense of the word we might well be Richmond supporters now because the club would have been wound up in 2003 or thereabouts.

You better not say that to Emirates Airline, Westpac, adidas and CGU. Let me tell you something about Collingwood - and it pains me greatly to type this. They have brand value like no other sporting club in the Southern Hemisphere. They 'get' the customer. They are valued at valued at $344million - a whopping $87million ahead of the nearest placed AFL club (don't ask - we're miles off second place).

They are the most-watched Australian football club on television for 3 years running. They have a jumper sponsorship worth $14million over 7 years with insurance giant CGU. When Forbes released a list of the world's top 20 most valuable soccer clubs. German club Hamburg SV (14th) were valued at $US340m, which is just below Collingwood. Even Manchester City (15th) were also less than the Pies at $US291m.

They have worked tirelessly re-connecting with all sections of its fan base over the last decade. They are streets ahead...sponsors come to them....so don't tell me their revenue growth has come to a grinding halt.
