Just on Sidebottom and Beams. They use to play a couple of weeks in the ones then get a rest in their first couple of years.
People should keep that in mind when they bag the club for resting Bootsma.

I think Lucas should be well rested by now.

FMD surely Lucas offers more than Garlett. This is exactly the sort of shit selection that sends players to other clubs.

The secret to playing Garlett is out. Play him hard and he will offer NOTHING .

Yarran's had a serious injury, turf toe, ala Sandilands who was absent for 10 weeks last year and potentially 10 weeks this year.

http://www.afl.com.au/tabid/208/default ... sid=136008

Perhaps he was rushed back? Given Sandilands perhaps shoukd have been rested until after bye. I would have talked to Freo's medical staff as soon as it was diagnosed. Sandilands came back too early and had to take additional six weeks off.

My understanding is that it makes it difficult to push off, effecting burst speed and may be difficult to kick as well (pressure on non-kicking toe)

I am happy to lose by 10 Goals as long as I Witness something rare that has not happened against the Hawks for years:

" DO NOT LET THEM BULLY YOU ONCE AGAIN. STAND UP AND SHOW SOME GUTS AND HEART "

The Hawks are first Class Bullies, and its about time we get dirty and physical. We are not Soft and I believe we have enough power To Win.... :banghead: :banghead:

Surely if we play a spare man in defence we can keep him to 400 tops

So 506 against us and he kicks his 1000th. I wonder if the AFL will allow a pitch invasion? We could rough up the Hawks on behalf of the players.

You're forgetting that Sandi's toe is about the same size as an average person's forearm.

Don't Argue on the HUN Website

Robbo's guess Judd has osteitis pubis, this is terrible news if so rest him for as long as it takes.

"Osteitis pubis is a common injury in AFL and soccer. It refers to the imaging appearance of abnormalities on X-ray, CT or MRI scan and may cause chronic groin pain in these athletes who engage in constant repetitive kicking and change of direction when running. It is thought that osteitis pubis may sometimes a secondary consequence of another chronic groin injury such as chronic adductor tendinopathy, abdominal conjoint tendinopathy or hip abnormalities. This is a frustrating injury as it can sometimes sideline a player for many months"

He has also heard rumours that its game over for Jarrod Waite permanently due to his back injury.

Terrible news if true for both injuries, especially as Juddy regards Waite as the most crucial person to the teams structure, whereas the football genius that is me regards Judd as the most crucial person to the teams performance. One of the few on the team capable of breaking open a game.

Does this mean we should shut up shop for the season if we lose to Hawks/Pies?

Two key words in that article from Robbo "Guess and "Rumour"

Given the history of Carlton's medical updates, its likely to remain only guess and rumour until something concrete is announced.

If so, I understand the ommission.

I don't know whats wrong with Yarran but something is. Whatever it is he needs to fix it and then he will be picked. Based on the last few weeks he is a liability.

Garlett isn't much better.

I agree with the Yarran & Garlett comment, who do you think would be best placed to replace Garlett?
I think he has been due for a run in the twos for about six weeks so he can focus on the basics instead of trying to do the amazing all the time.

Yarran is either still having trouble with the toe or has lost fitness.
