Has the 'dark shorts at home' tradition been thrown out?

Which part of that was outrageous? Some of you guys have us written off before the first bounce, should've been making up numbers in the Carlton Hate Campaign at Pattersons tonight. We were far from perfect but given how incredibly tilted the scales were tonight there was lots to like. If we play with that intensity we're a chance any game. You're quick to explain away other teams, how about cutting your own a bit of slack and looking at what's going right? That third quarter showed what we can do, what we all know we can do. If they bring that to the Hawks at the G, are we or are we not in it? It's certainly doable and the win is there if we execute it.

Whoops, sorry. SACK RATTS SACK STICKS DEREGISTER THE CLUB WAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!111

Baaahhhhhhhh

Better?

Wake up and smell the roses....the club is stuffed if it continues down the same path as it's going now...

The club is lacking behind with development of players, recruiting strategy is questionable and as for Ratts, well 5 years is enough to get us to the Holy Grail...

You can spin in all u like, we need major changes at the club otherwise we will continue to show glimpses but will always fall hort...

As for Hawthorn, wecwon't get close as there hard bodies will monster us...

WCE missed some absolute sitters, would have been 40pt loss.

Carazzo, only quality blues player on field tonight. Watson, Kreuzer, Ellard and Walker tried hard, Robinson ok when he was near ball.

Joseph cannot play football period.

Something is wrong with Judd maybe he knows his ever winning a premiership with the blues is now a long shot. Alternatively he no longer believes in Rattens plan. He was humbled tonight, his bad games outnumber his good lately.

From HUN "CARLTON captain Chris Judd endured a nightmare return to Perth as the plucky Blues went down to West Coast by 10 points at Patersons Stadium.

Judd was held to just 12 touches by the Selwood brothers and gave away a crucial free kick followed by a soft 50m penalty midway through the final quarter that allowed Dean Cox to kick the sealer"

Disposal efficiency of Joseph, Judd and Duigan identical 67%!

Scotland, Gibbs, Ellard and Betts all worse. Ellard 10 tackles though.

Yazz only 2 disposals hit target, Warnock woeful. As was forward pressure in all but 3rd quarter.

Plan A is no longer working.

Forgot to mention this, but loved warnock crashing into shuey. About the only aggressive thing we'vr done all year. Until we get some real mongrel about us, we wont be going anywhere fast.

seriously, can people please stop referring to judd 'giving away a 50'!?
talk him down all you like about his disposal, lack of effort or whatever it is that you saw....... but that 50 against was a disgrace. Umpire maggot, it was. A forearm to the bicep region is now 50??
game has gone soft
AFL house need professionalism from the umpiring department
3 WA umpires for a WA game??
we should ask for sticks, ratts, and mckay to umpire our next home game

on a side note, i dont think the umpires cost us the game......not at all. Far from it
But as many have said it is turning me, one of the most die-hard, passionate, loyal football supporters of all time off football for good.
Carlton are too soft, lack structures and a decent game plan to win games against good sides but its tough to swallow when a game is umpired like that

lastly, to Yarran......... now, if a bloke is only fit enough for 1 quarter of footy last week and has a 6 day break and a trip to Perth the next week, WHY START HIM?? What happened in the last 4 days that suddenly made him ready for an extra 2-3 quarters? Desperation much?
It's just stupid stuff going into a game with a pre-conceived sub idea. If he aint fit for 4 bloody quarters of hard footy and we get an injury early, what happens then? It was planned well before game time that he would swap with Collo at 3 qtr time.
The coaches don't take into account what the game needs or what is happening, regardless of how things are going its yarran for collo

Club has gone backwards in all departments
Brown, Richardson, Barker must be licking their lips
Time to worry about 2013 and beyond, 2012 is SHOT

Good game.

How good was Nic Nat ! Probably the difference as the perceived pressure he creates gives them so many attacks.
They have better players than us and have put together a top notch list.

The umps make hit hard over there but we had our chances. Judd playing his worse game ever probably left us a man down and for 5 mins midway through the final quarter we just gave it away.

Reload with the week off and do everything we can to win as many games as possible for the season and try and create a winning culture to take into 2013.

Before the game I said that we "must tag Selwood". We didn't. Result Selwood 33 Possies, Judd 11.

Next time we play WC if someone (Carazzo) doesn't tag Selwood I'm going down to PP and tearing the place down bit by bit.

I don't care if Kerr and Priddis share 90 possies just stop Selwood (and free up Judd).

Ratts jumping round like a child on the bench really does create the impression that he is a child. It is so un-coach-man-like.

Sigh....

We went into the game with the WRONG rucks again.

Hampson's leap makes him the only man to go against Nicnat, Warnock's height means he can nullify Big Cox. Kruezer is ill-equiped against either.

Getting sick of being satisfied with losses, finding excuses, lowering expectations. We are back in 2008 again, except this time Juddy's not going so well. I'll be really disappointed if we retain Warnock and lose Hammer. Warnock is not a bad knock ruckman but can't mark to save himself. Hammer needs time as the number one ruckman. Most games he is played out of position on the forward line. Why did we recruit Warnock when we had Hammer, Jacobs and Big K on the list. We now have three first rucks and no key forwards.

We played well for a quarter and a half and the final margin flattered us. Do we have anything in the 2s? AJ tries but just hasn't got the skill. Can Rohan Keer add anythging? Surely we kept him on the list because we thought he had a future.

I thought Carrazzo was terrific, Duigan showed great leadership and courage. Watson continuing to look promising. Jammo seems just a nullifier when a few years back he seemed far more attacking. Hendo is needed forward but much better back. Juddy must be injured he had his worst game for us. Put him in the square one out. Try something different. Yarran is down on fitness. So many players seem to be going backwards, and without Judd to carry us we have come back to the field. And please, no injury excuses. The Eagles had Embley Kennedy, Le Cras and Nikoski out (and Waters suspended).

We need to start winning and not excusing losing. With Juddy a shadow and Waite seemingly chronically injured, many of our young players going backwards or marking time, a flag is looking as far away as ever. Too many sides are going past us. Coaching, recruitment, development,we have to look hard at the way we do things because we are looking like a mediocre side.

I admire your optimism Club29.

That performance was worse than last weeks, and if not for poor kicking, probably as bad as the Saints game. We were a bunch of lost kids in the fist 1/3rd of the game and the last quarter.

I saw nothing about that game that gives me any reason to believe the mob running this circus has any clue.

2013? Not a chance, not even close.

Joseph can be a reasonable player if he follows some 2 rudimentary instructions ............

Stop going to ground - keep your feet.

If you go to ground knock the ball towards the boundary line.

The trouble is, we have had plenty of time being woeful to the point that we probably should have a better list than them, at least a more advanced one. We've spent years trying to force the issue because Judd means premierships, apparently.

Juddy if you're not fit then do the right thing and take a long break. Take the time to get yourself right. Not sure if you require an op or what it is. The speed/acceleration has gone to the point where you're being caught with constant ease. We all appreciate that you'll slow down over time but the drop has been quite sharp. You're even fumbling the ball at ground level .... we've never seen that before and the same goes with the dropped mark tonight. I have a feeling that it will take more than the 1 week bye to get things right. Elite players like yourself don't just go from greatness to being ordinary in a matter of months (late 2011 - mid 2012) unless there's some major issues. Get yourself right Chris .... you owe it to yourself.
