It's weird to think we are playing tonite.
Anyone had a spooky tooth feeling about the game?

I had one a couple of days ago, and was confident. That feeling disappeared about the time cimm said Carrots was a bit tentative at training.

How great it would be to get a win.

Looking at the radar for Perth - the ground will be wet and it is likely that some rain will fall during game time.

Ratten doesn't tell Robinson to 'calm down'.

The article is about Robinson having to alter his attack on the footy due to rule changes and how he has had issues with an ear injury.

thanks for clearing that up Effes!

re: the highlighted bit, what is wrong with how he's attacked the footy so far this year?
has he been suspended?
has he even been reported?
has he been injured?
just seems a stupid line brought on by.......... nothing!
where did this concern come from?
Our one and almost only hard nut and ratts says he needs to alter his tough style. Great idea :banghead: :banghead:

Carrazzo didn't seem happy before boarding the plane.
Either he's not playing or he's missing the girls.
I've got a feeling he's not going to line up.
Silly to risk him on a night like this and with our bye next week.

Thank God you're not overreacting and jumping to conclusions like others on TC. :screwy:

It is little surprise that the 23-year-old watches Biff, Bumps & Brawls, a DVD of some of the AFL's wildest moments, before each game.

But he admitted recent rule changes clashed with his rugged approach and often had him at odds with the laws of the game.

"Football has changed a lot and I've had to adapt," he said. "In the past if someone was in your face you could have a crack about it, but it's all changed and I've had to change with the game. It's a fine line and Ratts (coach Brett Ratten) told me I have to change some of the ways I go in for the footy.

"I got reported last year against Brisbane for what I thought was a fair hit on Jack Redden and had points (93.75) hanging over me for the rest of the year.

"It's hard because if you go too hard you might get suspended and if you don't go hard enough you miss an opportunity to get the ball.

"In the end, I just have to play how I play and if I get suspended, I get suspended. You put your head over the ball and crack in and if you get a body and it's not deemed as fair, you can't do much about it and I'll cop it on the chin.

"The rules are changing all the time and you just have to be wary of how high you go or how low you go. I just have to make sure I don't think of anything else but that football when I see it."

Robinson said he had a nervous wait last weekend ahead of the match review panel assessing an off-the-ball retaliation on Geelong's Steve Johnson.

He knew there had been little contact and after watching a replay was heartened that the umpire in front of him who had seen the incident had chosen not to pay a free kick.

Personal best for Ratten

1 Ommitted Josh Bootsma played his best game for Carton last week forget the stats look at his edeavour for a player with very few games

Given Scotland comes back in - who goes out instead? Like for like makes sense. Considered that it may be a conditioning related out for a first year player?

2 Kane Lucas a star of the future cant get a game.

With form in games this year such as.....?

3 Hampson has been tickling our balls for years.

4 Bryce Gtbbs despite a better game last week needs to be dropped to shkae him up with all the injiries we have had he should have stepped up

So he improved, but drop him anyway? Presumably for a first year player or a bloke who hasn't done a lot with their chances when given them this year?

Quote:
4 Wonderful players Andrew Carrazzo and Heath Scotland need to be fully fit. Dont play unfit players

How do you know they're fit or unfit?

Well if the conditions look like being wet and it is going to be a slog then just a simple instruction from me;

Get your boot on the ball and get that flowering ball moving forward, minimal handballs.

Still don't think it will rain much and in terms of the ball being greasy it wouldn't be anymore than playing The Brizzy Lions in the evening at the Gabba.

Don't be fooled about the rain.
