At the risk of sounding like a caveman, I was a little uncomfortable seeing the pictures from the airport of Ratts and Juddy traveling with their young families to Perth.

Images of Ratts struggling with the nappy bag and Juddy pushing the pram with Rebecca make me feel thAt the game and their team are not their primary cOncern for the weekend.

I hope when they arrived in Perth their family stayed with family or friends and the two went to the hotel with the TEAM. Last year Riley said they loved traveling to Perth because they have a great routine and look at it as an opportunity bond. The Pies say the same things about their good traveling record.

I've taken my family when I've had to go interstate or overseas for work - it never affected me doing my job

Same here, but my job wasn't an elite team sport.

Laidler is fine.
Laidlaw has the issue.

 yeah..me too. %&*families and kids! but no way. Their honey's will be dropped at respective family/friends places, or put on a tour to Monkey Mia I suspect.

The boys looked really down, in the rooms after Fri. nite.
I thought the shot of Gibbs patting Simmo on the head was really touching.
It restored my faith that they do, indeed give a toss, and want to start winning again.

The critics will say Gibbs was just putting a few stray hairs back in place...

We do have a bye after this game so I am sure in the Judd's case it would have to do with catching up with the wife's family.
As far as Ratts is concerned, Perth might be a good place to hide for him and his family after Thursday night.

I'm not convinced Carrots will play either. Broken or fractured bones are never easy and playing elite sport 9 weeks following such an injury is remarkable. He will need to gain confidence that the bone is properly healed and that will take some time.

Im convinced that the carrots and scotland news is so the club can one provide supporters some encouraging news(dont drop off) and to deflect criticism of recent performances

Lets face it Yarran doesnt seem to have been fit the last twice he has played being sub but was sold as improving the composition team - against adelaide there seemed to be panic where they had hoped he would play a bit over a quarter as sub but someone got injured and decided to use sub after half time
Love Chris Yarran but what is the point of playing him when he is 2 thirds fit - play someone ie lucas et al who is a hundred percent fit
