Carrazzo comeing back is not the be all and end all. He is an average footballer who played a great game against collingwood.

There goes my theory that supporters will finally appreciate Carrots.
ps. Carrots, if you are reading this, don't worry, you are loved and appreciated by many.

I really like Carrots and he is easily in our best 22 BUT if we are thinking that he will be the difference between success and what we are currently producing we are kidding ourselves.

We need to move on from Waite. Seriously, how many match winning games has he played? He is not a key forward.

He is athletic and talented but at 29 he is past his best and still hasn't produced what he should.

IMO when he plays it is a bonus. He can play as a third up defender or a third forward. We need to develop key forwards. 3 Ruckman isn't the answer either.

Personally I believe Henderson needs to be developed as a forward and time needs to be put into Mitchell and Casboult. Need to take the focus off Betts.

A set up like:

HF: Walker Henderson Robinson
F: Betts Casboult/Mitchell Garlett

If we can develop that we will be avery good side. The resting ruck man can go through there at times dependant upon match ups.

Add Judd, Murphy, Simpson, Scotland, Gibbs all pushing through there it looks pretty good.

Totally agree with you there I am so over Walking Stick Waite it isn't funny.. in for 2 games out for four.. in for three games out for two...over him.

Regardless, still need a key forward to structure a forward line around. Unfortunately, Mitchell and Casboult are good younf colts but too injury prone..they have the Waite virus.

Good judge.

Did I? I can't remember what I actually said, but certainly what I was trying to say at the time was that we shouldn't take it for granted that we would make the 8, let alone top 4.

Anyway, even after Round 3, I wasn't convinced about us and felt we still needed to improve significantly before we could be considered a legitimate premiership threat. We were always just a few injuries away from falling right back to the pack. Premierships sides aren't like that, IMO.

And I didn't see that as being negative, it was just my opinion. FWIW - I personally don't mind posts on a supporter's forum criticising/questioning what the club is doing, as long as it's rational and has some basis in fact....(and as long as they aren't fired out with machine gun-like repetition by the same annoying jerk over and over again...)

Anyway, perhaps because I never bought into the hype about us in 2012, I'm actually not stressed about our current situation.

In fact, I think it's a potential blessing in disguise and I feel reasonably optimistic that we'll come out the other side a better team....

Jarrad Waite bleeds blue. He's a carlton legend. He just needs a little more time to get over his injuries, and the last thing he needs is impatient supporters calling for his head. We've gone from wooden spooners to 5th with Waite as an important swingman, so why not stick with him. Calling for people's heads when we're constantly improving is just madness. A few bad games and the knives come out... sheesh, some people.

I thought he was ok in patches this year.

But this unidentified back injury worries me.
He's not 25 anymore.

You can probably put a line through Casboult for the rest of 2012.

Fingers crossed for Mitchell.

I did see Judd on TV on Saturday & when asked who the next breakout player at Carlton will be he nominated Mitchell.

This indicates to me that getting Mitchell into the senior team in 2012 is definitely on the club's radar.

Not a bad deduction.

They asked the same question a few weeks ago on Supercoach and he nominated Watson and Bootsma, they played shortly after.

Juddy is a good judge. He also had Gibbs moving up to the next level this year!

Well I am convinced ... Thanks to all the posters who have shown me the light. Of course injuries don't have any effect on how we play. Its all about the coach ... I should have realised ... how stupid of me.

I reckon we should sack Ratten tomorrow ... appoint tricky Micky Malthouse ... and all our problems will go away ... Yahoooooo ..... simple as that. And anyway ... whats wrong with acting like moronic Richmond supporters ... they seem to get a lot of great press.

Wow ... thank you so much!

Hopefully Squida is available for selection in like 4-6 weeks after a serieis and uninterrupted run of VFL games. VFL form shouldnt matter as much as match fitness.
Time to phase out Waite and use him as a luxury player rather than a key player.

Had Grigg before that.

Better performance by the undermanned Blues on Friday night against the 6th-8th side. We just need to get some more fish for the tank and everything will be ok.

I appreicated Ron Delulio, Alex Marcou, Peter Mconville, Wow jones, Mat Clape, Dean Rice, Matthew Hogg AND CARRAZZO but whether they are in or out of the team is not the difference between being top 4 and missing the finals. You need better players than Carrazzo in the middle to be a premiership contender
