The reality is that we are out of the eight and realistically look like losing our next 3 games based on form and opponents .....

I cant see where credit is due....if anything the improved effort against the cats makes me more peeved as where has it been the last 6 weeks

Sticks himself said we're planning to win 3 flags in 5 years. So having a crack and falling short against a team destined for the lower reaches of the eight...

Nah.

My nomination for POW...

FFS Carlton get off the deck and breathe back life into our club as a FEARED rival rather than a laughable one.

there are a myriad of lalas on here that seem addicted to seeing the negative in anything that doesnt = win.

understand the expectation as is what EVERY Carlton fan wants however some need to be a bit more realistic and rationale.

What club would want fans that cannot acknowledge improvement regardless of not meeting expectations.

Too Many Tossas!

There are also too many people that have some very short term thinking and appreciation of the situation.

We have a young side that has been developing. Last year we won a final and nearly knocked off WCE at home. Since then we have gone backwards and by a long way.

Sides have worked us out and we have no answer. As such players are confused and frustrated. This causes results such as what happened against Essendon*, St Kilda, Adelaide and Port.

Not only were we beaten we are thrashed!!! We aren't even close.

We struggled against Melbourne and GWS. We will now struggle to make the finals in a year where there is a real opportunity.

We should be so much better than we are. IMO that is realistic and rational.

We are far from development stage - we are in a stage where we can win flags but to win flags you need abit of luck.

Credit where it`s due should belong to aboynamedsue for predicting, at the start of the year, we would be in a struggle for the 8. I remember a lot of criticism for this at the time.
Good judge.

We lost to Essendon*, Adelaide and Stkilda with few injuries or injuries that should still make you competitive
Carrazzo comeing back is not the be all and end all. He is an average footballer who played a great game against collingwood.

It must be said that Essendon* and Adelaide are two of the group of teams separated only by percentage at the top of the ladder, we hardly lowered our colours to shit teams. Losing to St Kilda was a much worse loss, they're very middle of the road.

And losing to PA by 9 goals was totally unacceptable :banghead:

No credits in the bank for the CFC on that loss

Jarrad Waite was completely void against the Saints apparently hurt his back in the match. Anyone remember his game?

If Carrots and Scotland play this week then the injuries can no longer be used as an excuse, even by the most optimistic supporters.

Yes, Laidler and Murph are important but there they should be just considered normal casualties you get in a season.

That being the case, I believe we are entitled to expect the rest of the season to be as successful as first alluded to by Ratt's in the pre-season (baring another horror injury run).

That means that (if Carrots and Scotland resume thursday) we should win a large majority of the rest of the games, including the big challenges of WCE, Pies and Hawks etc.

Anything less and I think the club should expect a massive backlash from the membership.

There goes my theory that supporters will finally appreciate Carrots.
ps. Carrots, if you are reading this, don't worry, you are loved and appreciated by many.

Yes. If we won we were top. Instead we got thrashed by an average side. :banghead:
