Interesting facts about this guy he has gone into partnership with. Nick Russian (or whatever his name is) was on the reality show Temptation Island, his partner was Cassie someone who went on to become the girlfriend of Alan Didak. They have since split up. Talk about a merry go round.

At the moment I reckon he's the most over-rated player in the AFL.

The Andrew Mahar article referred to in the Judd thread, (which is probably where this should be), illustrates my point pretty well.
His on-field performance this year has not been elite. Good, but not elite, and elite is how is he supposedly rated, (and what we're paying
him for). Now, the bloke may be carrying goodness knows what and is trying his guys out, but if we're just talking on field performance
I don't see how anyone can argue that he's been "elite" this year. Hence IMO he's over-rated.

So now he's just overrated, not the most overrated in the comp.

Pretty sure his detractors Darcy, Lloyd just to name two jump on his form as soon as it drops below elite.

Frustrated Carlton supporters blaming the champ for what's wrong with us is more of an issue.

He has been a superstar for this club. Although his form has been below his normal output, he has still been good. I don't think it warrants some of the criticism received in this thread. In any team sport, it is difficult for any one player to dominate games when there is a lack of support and the team is struggling.

He may be down on form for various reasons (injury, whatever..) but as we've seen from late last year the opposition are quite happy to wear a couple holding decisions if they can remove his strengths (bursts through the pack etc) by constantly holding him at stoppages. He did at least get a couple decisions his way on Friday, but still burnt it a bit

Most of the team are struggling atm. When the rest of the team were struggling when he first arrived in 2008, he was carrying the team on his own. For him to be criticised now for not being elite this year, is unfair. It should be those around him that should be carrying him and protecting him. FFS, this guy singled handedly has improved our on-field fortunes since he arrived, and it's been the clubs' in ability to build a proper structure around this guy for sustained success.
