I`ve began the Kübler-Ross 5 Stages of Grief.
Denial — Pre Season
Anger — Essendon* game
Bargaining — Maybe we just need a win over Melbourne.
Depression — StKilda, Adalaide, Port games
Acceptance — The next month. We won an Elimination Final.

..this is something that irks me.. ..the whole notion of "at our best we can beat/match it with the top teams".. ..it irks me for 2 reasons.. ..firstly, the very statement acknowledges that we're not one of those top teams.. .... ..and secondly it ignores the fact that the very best of the majority of teams can beat/match it with the best.. ..every season, every bloody season you'll have lower ranked teams play out of their skins, matching and/or beating flag contenders.. ..the comp. for the most part [playing at their best], is actually very very tight.. ..it's the ability to consistently play at your best that separates the competition..

I love your confidence. I reckon you are about 5 losses wrong.

Seen Carrots on Fox getting his shoulder tested out.. fitness tests on shoulders entails getting slammed around a bit. He'll be fine/

Murphy is out of his sling next week and will see how well it has healed. If it has healed correctly then 5-6weeks away; he will need to start pumping weights like a mad dog though.

I doubt it, but would love the guy's to come back into a side that had found it's mojo without them.

If we could pinch 2 of the next 4 that would be a great effort and would give us some momentum going into the straight.

I've reset my supporter hopes for the season...all I want now is to take one big scalp in the finals. Top 4 obviously not going to happen now, but you still wouldn't want to get us in the finals.

Hopefully we can win one of the next 3, get some games into kids, get the injured players back & run into some reasonable form at the end.

Regardless of your view on coach/administration, I think the second half of the season will see a strong resurgence, especially after the bye.

The injection of talent to come into the team is signifcant. It will push out the AJ types (love ya AJ but your lack of polish kills), making the next rung of players the bottom lot. Will also have significant implications for our structures in a positive way. The flow on effect of a fit Murphy, Carrots, Laidler, Lucas (in form) and, dare I say it, Thornton will be huge. Hendo, Kruuz and 206 get the bodies right and there's the talls.

Just need to jig that forwardline and make the most of our entries...

God help any team come finals if we are in it with a fit and firing list. Hopefully walking stick Waite gets a move on and plays last 8'ish games of season in very good form.

The biggest positive for me is Brock. To a lesser extent Ellard.
Carrots will return to find some hard working mules .
With the full compliment of touh nutsup and running, we might see the best again in Juddy, and finally be able to set Gibbsy free to reach full potential.
That's without even including Murph.
