Had a crack

Henderson was promising up forward in the first half...fell over after that with Eddie turning into the focal point.

Didn't matter if Eddie was leading to the boundary, still direct the kick towards him. When under some pressure go back to what you know - kick it to Eddie.

Simpson was back to some form.

Hampson WOEFUL up forward, dropping simple chest marks, fumbling all over the place - he was ok in the ruck. He'd be happy Warnock is injured now.

Duigan looked to regain some form.

Umpires are incompetent amateurs, their performance tonight once again demonstrates that there is a crisis in the AFL with regard to umpiring and the rules committee. They aren't up to it. In particular umpire McBurney should be sacked ASAP.

The entire team has had the yips in front of goal for the last two years. We have no goal kicking mids. Even Judd no longer kicks them.

No complaint with effort, nothing changes from what I've said this week, structure was there but not utlised as Effes said. That's a coaching problem.

Game decided by kicking for goal efficiency as much as anything. Could have, should have, didn't.

First quarter

• Ellard kicka into man on mark out of middle after Robinson wins free kick
• Hampson good target to provide Garlett crumb and Betts goal, all after Henderson lead up
• Tuohy great run off half back for goal – Walker/Joseph worked ball out of defence
• Mclean won receive from hitout but fumbled

Doesn't matter. It's about games into kids.
The result is inconsequential.

Wanted, anyone who's not a ruckman that can play KP forward. I know the Pigeons have a good one, and he's dancing pretty well too...lol!

Seriously though, this idea of ruckmen as key forwards has rocks in it. As does playing 3 ruckman. Just screws with our structure completely going forward. No trust from up the field to they bomb it to Eddie.

Hope Thornton's fit next week, not that he's in great form either.
