Lucas signed for 2 years at then end of last year.

He is not playing well. He knows this and will try his best to turn into an AFL player. That starts in the twos.

Needs 3 full games of good football before being considered IMO.

Not sure why Dale has not replaced Curnow in the side.

Team looks to top heavy. No doubt one of the talls named will miss.

I hate that. If the kid is deserving of a game he should be played. Worst case he improves our compensation if his development is significant. Who is also to say a new coach doesn't persuade him to stay?

You might want to consider the liklihood what he's saying before you go off half cut about it.

Hard to see two on-ballers going out and being replaced by a ruckman and backmen (if you consider Hendo for Bower like for like).

Imagine at least 1 late change.

Do you know anything about depression? What a ridiculous comment.

+1
that is a stupid, insipid, ridiculous, uneducated, dumb remark, BB!
wake up to yourself.

on the game.... if we fire up and somehow manage to topple this mob tomorrow its fair to say id be a little disappointed.
disappointed that we couldnt bring intensity or any kind of care factor to the last 3 games!
3 games which have turned our season on its head

if i was lucas, i would go back home so i don't have to put up with FU%*&G WANK#%S supporters like you!!!!!
doesn't put he's head over the ball?
how many games have you played hero?
if only he had opportunities like armfield, joseph, hampson and gartlett
not everyone has to be a hard nut footballer champ.
lucas is an outside runner with fantastic skills, simple, he is not robinson.
goose

needs 3 good games before being considered? [lucas]
so carlton gets flogged and, hampson, joseph, armfield, simpson and gartlett continue along very nicely.
reckon lucas needs as many games as the boys above and see how good he is.

Stop sitting on the fence and tell us what you really think!!!

Overreaction on your part. Fair call and nothing personal in it. Part of his future development.

simpson is an outside runner but is certainly not scared to burrow in.

It's heating up in here! All we need is for the players to show the passion we do!

diesel,
how has simpson faired over the last few weeks?
just sick and tired of people having a crack at lucas when there is about 15 other blokes who have done nothing over the last 5 weeks.
the blokes not even playing and someone has a good at him.
imo,
hampson, joseph, armfield, gartlett, simpson and gibbs have been very lucky not be dropped, prob due to our injury list.
i also hope scott burns takes over at seasons end.
i also hope we pick up tom derickx or robbie tarrant.
i also hope mitchell comes on.
i also hope lucas is given opportunities.
just still upset from the weekend,
sorry.

The same Robbie Tarrant that has had 4 shoulder reconstructions? Should fit in well.

And as for Derick X, apart from having the second coolest name in the AFL (see Dayne Zorko), why would we need another ruckman?

Duigan has been ordinary all year. His inclusion will not improve the side.

your argument was about Lucas being an outside runner and not a 'robinson'
yes simmo has been off for a couple of weeks after 150 good weeks
How many 'soft' players do west coast or geelong or hawthorn or collingwood have?
my point was that we need him to be a runner but he needs to go in hard when its his turn, as simmo does.
good or really good sides dont carry soft outside runners. period. and we have more than a few

I love your passion mate. We all have opinions and we are all certainly entitled to them!

Garlett only keeps his spot as they're is zippo to replace him, about time he rewarded MC for their faith.

We're going a bit hard on BB too, I'm sure he meant treatable in terms of anti- depressants, without necessarily being dismissive of this illness. It depends pretty much on the individual how quickly they work though, if anything I think BB may need some education on this point.

One thing I would love to see tomorrow night - actually coming from behind to hit the front, enough of the front running for me.

Au contraire, mon ami. If he's been ordinary, then his inclusion probably WILL improve the side.
