Gibbs has his issues but this cannot be seen than any other way but favourable.
Having two players that you base your future on commiting for another couple of years shows some positive commitment to the other players and confidence in the clubs direction.
From the talk his week I expect nothing less than full commitment from the coaching staff and the playing group, including Gibbs.
With these two signing it could have a big positve outcome to the coaching direction made in the near future of our club.
That's if the coaching department can utilize their direction and stability.

There in lies the problem @ Carlton, these guys are fairdinkum in lala land whilst we fume & cop shit off all opposition supporters & media outlets, all these guys care about is their image.

First thing I'd do at Carlton is get Gino the barber from Lygon St & get every friggin love me do a crew cut, starting with Gibbs, Simo, Lucas & Murph.

Last time a few of the boys from here ventured down to Perc's place for dinner and a few drinks, Perc told us that's exactly what happened under Barassi. All the players had to have haircuts and weren't allowed to grow ridiculous sideburns. Only Bruce Doull was allowed to grow it out. I think it's a little different now, in fact I know it is. It's not communist Barassi, it's the law. I don't mind the metro-sexual haircuts...only time I cringe is when I see the likes of Marc Murphy and Shaun Hampson in jorts. Now they should be illegal!

Really? Hair cuts? Boots? Eddies big shorts? Sunglasses?

FFS you guys think that will make the boys play any better limiting everything?

Everyone has individual personalities, forcing them to act or dress a different way won't help their on field performance. When you can control the bs I hear on this site I will buy into this argument, but until then I don't give s shut and neither should the rest of you. The players aren't puppets u can control

A hat? Blame the communications department.

Good to see the boys are signed up.

Got to keep players like Gibbs and Kreuzer. Gibbs in particular is in a bit of WTF and I have been a staunch critic of him... but I've also maintained that his capabilities are enormous if can get past the current shite.

In 2010 didn't Dale Thomas have a braid in his hair, as well as guys like himself, Didak and Pendlebury getting around in those tea cosy type beanie arrangements?

Not my style, but if we can get our boys to that level that could wear gimp outfits in public for all I care.

I think Eddie McGuire has a few gimp outfits in his closet that he could lend them...

I rate the grey shirts they're wearing. Wonder if we could use a grey as our away strip? Would look heaps better than the baby blue. GWS would probably complain...
