Hope we line up like this if Henderson and Duigan get up for the game. Wouldn't rush Kreuzer back against their ruck division which isn't the best around. Austin did the job on Pods last week. Hopefully Watson can do similar. :sly:

B: Duigan Jamison Tuohy
HB: Yarran Watson Bower
C: Simpson Mclean Gibbs
HF: Collins Henderson Bootsma
F: Betts Hampson Walker
R: Warnock Judd Ellard

I/C: Robinson Armfield Lucas Sub: Joseph/Curnow

Bootsma to play forward and try to shut Mackie or one of their rebounders down. More footy smarts than Bower. I don't want Boots to be shattered by being asked to play on Steve Johnson. :yikes:

No Garlett?

Ratts said Waite is 4,5,6 weeks away from resuming football at any level. What a joke that 3 year contract is.

Yes but how many times have we been beaten by a dud ruck division already this year?!

"It's a back, it's stiff, it hasn't recovered. He's walking around very ginger. It might just go click and we've got him back next week or it might take three weeks. I'm not sure and we can't put a finger on him"

Thats after they find out whats wrong and treat him.

Hopefully the contract is heavily tailored around bonuses for games played.

If Waite was getting paid per game actually played he'd be lucky to scratch up enough cash for a Happy Meal.

"I'm not sure when he will be available and he will definitely have to go back and play at VFL level, get some fitness back and that will be four, five and six weeks,'' the coach said.

So eight, nine, ten weeks then.

Wow, how things can changes so quickly! So, in Jarrad's case, stick a fork in him. Time to move on and find the next player you can play his role

I'm sure we'll see him "walking gingerly" around various Lygon St haunts over the coming weekends.

Dedicated rehabber is Jarrad.

Hawkins and Pods will be taken by Jamison and Hendo imo.
I think Hawkins is too good for 2nd year player Watson.
Watson is learning his trade just as Hawkins did for his first 4 years.
Watson or Bower for their resting ruckman West?????

Do we tag one of there's in the middle? Which ones? Bartel? Selwood?
Our tagger would be Joseph after the good job he did on Boak last week.
Are Bartel or Selwood taggable by Joseph??? I don't think so. They're too big for him imo.

Do we tag their attacking HBF's Enright and Mackie?
Both pretty tall and good marks let alone great distributors of the ball.
Russell could be big enough...but not in form and missed last weeks VFL game.
Robbo can do a Fletcher role, but I think we need the kamakaze pilot in the guts this week.
Surely Walker would be taking one, and they'd have to keep tabs on the spedy Tex.

So the Johnson factor??? Russell use to get him, but he's in lala land atm....could be a surprise...Duigan?
Johnson has been doing a bit of a Buddy run around the ground lately....can't kick goals from the HB, but who will be capable of keeping a lid on him? I'd say its Tuohy or Duigan.

Why play Duigan? Maybe he's finally fit. Cats are big bodies hard players and Duigan is one of our few with that shape and weight. Geez I hope he steps up to 2011 form.

I really hope we mix it up a lot, with lots of midfield rotation which include cameos from Betts, Garlett and Tex.

I'm thinking TBird for Bower, but TBird hasn't been mentioned as having recovered from glute injury.

Have to play the 3 rucks this week. We need targets at CHF and FF to straighten us up by having a target taller than Betts.

Got a chance this Friday, but I am shitting myself...just as are Cats supporters I know who have been traditionally cocky against us despite us giving them a touch up over the last 3 years. Interesting. They tell me they are not convinced that the Cats are in form, questioning whether they are developing a few this year, or on the way out. They won last week...and that's all I can think of. Winning form.

The thing with Waitey though MB, is that he wasn't exactly Simpson-like before he signed up. Hopefully he comes good, but three years was a big gamble for a player with his history.

What a flower disappointment Russell has turned out to be.

I have been a fan and gave him the benefit of the doubt.
I thought last year was probelmatic bc of the hip surgery and gave him the benefit of the doubt.
The confidence stuff....well imo it sounds more like depression and I hope it isn't, but he's not right between the ears imo.

The flower is in our leadership group.

If confidence is his issue...well I can't tolerate his inability to get up week in week out.

Really disappointed in him.
If he can't get himself up just from hunger to play, just when we need him ....he's as good as GAWN!!

and his age.

I'm still a fan, and I'm sure he will be valuable for us once more, but understand the concerns most have of him and as for the 3 year contract....mmmmm....need to know more about the details.

He's on the veterans list next year so only half of his salary counts in the cap for the next 2 years.

I heard he pulled out of the VFL game last week.

My concern is the other 9 weeks of 2012...and when he returns from injury, and we start getting players back from injury....he's going to be further and further from a game this year.

If he hasn't been able to get a game since the Bumbers game....when fit, and we were full of injuries....GAWN.

So who exactly is left to play on Friday?

Any of you blokes free?

Are you tough and uncompromising?

Can you kick a few goals?

sign up. Your Carlton needs you.
