Answer is he didnt come out of the Carlton system.

You could propose swapping Gibbs for another Adelaide player who is uncontracted, but doesn't want to come back to Victoria. Think Sloane is the flavour of the month for June. Then once it turns into a 50-50 trade, you can bitch about him leaving like Grigg. A player who has suckered everyone into thinking he's irreplaceable and has improved.

Gibbs is a natural footballer thats why you keep him.
