Pro:

Watson and Bootsma. Not afl ready but showing signs.

Con:

Heartbreak of realization the dark old navy blues are truly not on the right path

Pros:
We weren't the worst of the weekend.
Somehow, we're still in the 8.

Cons:
No heart.
No passion.
No effort.
No desire.
No desperation.
No fight.
No @#$%&! wonder we lost.

Pros.

We finally got the upsets to rival sides in the Top 4 that we've been waiting a year and a half for.

Cons.

It's not going to make any difference.

Pros:

I saved $17 by buying a $55 family ticket for terrace seating, rather than the $72 for undercover to sit through that garbage.

Cons:

It rained.

Pros:

AAMI stadium was only serving West End Draught so I saved money by not drinking that muck.

Cons:

I watched the game sober.

Pros:

The insipid performances from the preceding weeks had conditioned me to the point where the shock was somewhat dulled
Watson was OK in patches

Cons:

appalling in every sense of the word
seems that our role in the competition is to play poorly performed other clubs into form
Not much light on the horizon

Pro:
-Watson and Bootsma should be persisted with I hope. Future of the backline as Bower is weeded out and Hendo to give some structure and bonafide marking target in the forward line as walking stick Waite continues to recover, for seemingly forever.
- It can not get worse from here.

Con:
- List management has been found to be very poor and would not mind a review on why it has been so poor I trust Andy McKay will fix this asap..giving Jospeh a contract extention was a poor deal. Was supposed to back up Carrots when injured and he is deteriorating and not AFL standard and should be traded.Lacks discipline and concetration.. we need one or three of those.

- Too many mentally weak players that cant stand the heat in the kitchen that possess average talent.

-Need our best players out there fast, our best talent..can handle is 1-3 key players missing with injury but its getting ridiculous, seriously affecting the confidence of fringe players.

-Judd and Ellard busting a gut and look lost for answers.

-The clowns giving it to Bootsma and Watson.

Pro: Scum got beat by Melbourne. Norf got beat by Buddy. Cokers got beat by Crazy Vossy.
First monday of the month is haircut day for the boys. Yay for big paychecks.

Con: Means we won't get the media scrutiny we deserve - everything on Melbourne.

PROS:

McLean will get to play his 3rd in a row
Bootsma shows more than Bower
Watson showed something for the first time at any level
Ellard cares
Judd cares
Collins tries and needs more games to decide his future

CONS:
Warnock awful second up, not unexpected
Bower's get this ball away from me attitude
Yarran should not have played
Garlett needs time on ball at either level
Gibbs spent half a quarter forward and then had to go back again
we are so predictable at stoppages. too much whiteboard not enough flare

Pro : I was at a very enjoyable dinner, didn't watch a minute of the game. Went home and deleted the game off the IQ.
We are just marking time till the end of the year.

Big con:

Opposition clubs would currently be looking forward to playing Carlton we've fallen that far out of form.

All clubs will go through a soft patch - some will be 2-3 weeks other's longer. The clubs with full lists have almost nil imporovement - the clubs playing on the coat tails of euphoria will be stung after a demoralising loss, and they will have a couple. The only clubs that have the upper hand to improve second half of year are Collingwood, West Coast, Carlton, Fremantle, Bulldogs as they have capacity to add talent to their starting 22..all the rest pretty much peaking with almost zero injury toll.
