so you are happy to stagnate (although we arent, we are going backwards fast) and watch whilst the likes of adelaide, sydney,Essendon* rush past us - keep waiting and richmond and st kilda will fly by too.

its ok though - we are in the 8

you have low expectations

Never said I was happy, but I also realise it's not as bad as you make it out to be either. All this talk of clean out is pure nonsense. Need better recruiting strategies, but this is the worst injury crisis I have seen ever. The team we field if injury crisis persist Brisbane Bears of 1994 would annihalate us.

Maybe we won't, either way this stretch will tell us a lot about the rest of our season.

Brad.

To still suggest we are a realistic shot at being at the MCG at the pointy end of the season is outrageous. Carlton are finished for the season and the only thing left to salvage is to get games into the likes of Bootsma, Buckley, Lucas, Dale etc and re-load for 2013.

A full pre season and a dose of reality will have the playing group primed for a massive pre season and a shot at making amends in 2013.

I know people see things differently but even blind Freddy can see we have some serious issues currently.

It astounds me that some people do not acknowledge this. Or acknowledge how serious they are.

As I've posted yesterday, the decision makers at the club need to do a full review to ascertain why we are performing so poorly. Even against average to poor sides.

We are playing bottom 5 footy at present imho and change is required immediately. What that is should be determined by the review.

My biggest concern is our performances have all the hallmarks of serious internal issues. No fight, no heart, no pride. This can't be tolerated or mitigated.

Did you read anything I said?

There's a little in between being there 'at the pointy end of the season' (which I said nothing of the sort) and winning only 2 more games so don't make out what I'm saying is outrageous.

We may not be happy with that in between, but it does exist.

Brad.

Our goal at the start of the year was to finish top 4. Anything less is a failure and with that now out of reach we need to start playing the kids.

So obviously you're saying something else completely.

We are not out of the top 4 unless the fat lady sings.. but need to turn around our season pretty soon...if we are 1-3 over next four then we would probably need to win next 10..it's not out of the question..team form is fickle and clubs in current top four can drop off very quickly too.

I think once its mathematically impossible to make the eight we should go down that road. We need to instill fight not throw in the towel.

Finish bottom eight with a healthy list should be the goal. Prelim then a small chance.

Noone would have thought we could slip so far after smashing Collingwood by 10 goals so perhaps its equally possible to go back the other way and find some form.

So losing another elimination final in Sydney or Adelaide is ok with you?
