great post moshe.

exactly what synbad has been saying but just put in nicer words.

And he used punctuation and correct spelling and shiz.

And not a single exclamation mark. Worrying signs for the club indeed... lol

So, what exactly is the "dirty water"? Need to be a bit more specific.

Moshe you are wrong. Environment is a wankers word from the 80s. It is totally a people problem. Swan does it with mirrors. Kernahan is the presidential equivalent of Aaron Joseph, ratten is no general, judd may not be the right captain and we have a board that is like a politburo full of too many people who can not add financially and have no knowledge of football. Take a word of advice and spend some time reading the history of 1964 and experience the greatness of George Harris. You will learn of a man who invented the concept of the social club and poaching a great from another club. George Harris, Ron barrassi, Alex jesalenko, wes lofts et al were uncompromising lateral thinkers whose attitude was whatever it takes.

How specific do I need to get. I've laid it all out. It's not about "dirty water". You're missing the point.

You're trying to get answers to:

- Is Ratts the right coach or is he the wrong coach?
- Is our list good or is it not or is it unbalanced?
- Should Gibbs play HB or should he play midfield or should he play forward?
- Is Gibbs playing well or is he playing badly?
- Should we play 3 rucks?
- Should we play Watson?
- What's happened to Lucas?
- What happened to the Spirit of Carlton?
- Does the club communicate well with its supporters or does it not?
- Are our players being developed well?
- Is our drafting good or not?
- Is our trading good or not?
- etc
- etc
-etc

I'm saying that THERE ARE TOO MANY QUESTIONS!!

Something is off. If you can't see that, you're not looking. I don't have answers. If I did, I'd run for office. But I do know that something is off, and it's at a fundamental level. And trying to drop players, recruit Cloke, get Malthouse, or any of these other bandaids is just like rearranging the deckchairs on the Titanic...... or bringing.in.new.goldfish.into.a.tank.of.dirty.water. It's an analogy.

Er.... so why am I wrong? That's exactly what I'm saying. Did you read my post????? Or are you just being coloured by that it was me? Or did it have too many big words for you?

Our club is rooted just like it was in 1964. And bringing in a big name isn't the solution JUST LIKE IT WASN'T THE SOLUTION THEN. We need a George Harris. We need someone that will completely change the "environment" regardless of the "wankiness" of the word, which btw was first used in the 1820s I believe.

Moshe.

IS Sticks Kernaghan our modern day George Harris???

Is he a visionary and a guy who can steer this ship safely through troubled waters?

Do we have a man that understands how to turn this club into a powerhouse again??

In short.. is there any other man in Australia who can do this job better than Sticks out there in your opinion???

I reckon he's at the club already. Just overseeing the footy dept at the moment, hopefully he can sort that sh1t out before moving to the rest of the organisation..

Does the Prez have as much power as the CEO to make changes?

No. NO. No. and Yes, but I don't know who.

But I suspect that just about anyone could. It's up to better people than me to find that man. But if we don't get some visionary in here soon, we'll end up with another 16 years like this.

Um, isn't this what he is talking about when he says its the environment ? All the people you have mentioned have been instrumental in creating a toxic environment that actually prevents the type of uncompromising lateral thinking you are talking about.

If Sticks resigns, we have a VP who is a lovely old lady who is good at raising money for charity but has no idea about football and would bring back Fev..... lol. If you really want to change things from the top down you need a "ticket" with a very strong front man. I can not see that happening.

Does the President even have to be a Carlton supporter? I`d be happy with anyone running a successful, modern day large business.
