Essendon* have the desire and detrmination but lack class - their squad is evenly spread of battlers with merely 2-3 class players
West Coast are in good condition having the luxury of playing on their own home ground..their starting line up is littered with round 1 & 2 picks with some rookies...they have recruited well and possibly the best team in the competition.
Adelaide are tough but lack class against quality teams also have the luxury of playing on their own home ground.
Collingwood are performing well as an experienced unit but their bottom 30% is woeful and will show up sooner rather than later.
Carlton are woefully out of form and bottom 30% is woeful and being shown up now.
Hawthorn are very hot and cold but dont have any injury concerns other than Hodge.
Sydney are battlers and other than Goodes dont have any injury concerns. Lack that touch of class.
Geelong are performing under par ; their bottom 30% is woeful.

Just saying.

What are you saying???

Were looking better than those teams or worse???

I don't think it is a good idea to rush back injured players for this game. Give them another week at least to recover for the Eagles game or more realistically for the Hawthorn and Collingwood games after the bye.

This is similar to what Lloyd suggested Bumbers do against us.
They went in with their best available and smashed us.

Bit the bullet, kids aren't ready supposedly, but some of the players getting games today will never be ready.

Dale has been "rested" for 2 weeks, time to play him, instead of "resting" a third week against the bye with Northern. I'm sure the kid puts his hand up to not play each week, Ratts said in his post match conference the kids aren't ready, maybe that's because you treat them like a porcelain vase.

I'd be looking at another kid to play as well, maybe RoK/Kerr/McInness from the subs bench?

In: Henderson, Waite, Kreuzer, Russell
Out: Bower, Watson, Collins, Curnow

Russell slightly less on the nose than Curnow....has a pretty good record on Stevie J. Duigan for Bootsma maybe seems likely, but hope we continue to put game time into the lad.

Essendon* have reached their utopia..its reality time - they have no real injury concerns have their battlers structuring up and time to downhill ski for them imo.
West Coast have a well functioned team and their window is wide open. Top 4
Adelaide will merely make up the numbers in finals like Essendon* two vey similar teams and on the brink of downhill skiing..but have a very favourable draw don't think their 2nd half of year will be as good. Top 4
Collingwoods injuries are unsustainable and cracks will start appearing soon...but should improve as they get players back top 4
Carlton needs to find form and confidence and start get players back...only way is up providing injured players get match fitness round 16-24 story here..need to start resting Judd after the bye though. 4-8
Hawthorn have no injuries and have no excuses...mis used Buddy Franklin but they should start improving now 4-6
Sydney dont have the class and even if they play finals will unlikely go past week one.
Geelong not riding them off just dont think their bottom 30% is good enough 2-3 injuries and they can really fall of a cliff 4-8

So yeah I am not panicking, Hawthorn supporters should be panicking they have no players to come in - we have almost half the team to come back in.

Seriously? Hodge, Bailey, Gilham, Bateman, Ellis wouldn't improve that side?

Just Hodge is equivalent to us losing Judd..... but we crack it cos Carrazzo was missing....

Debatable on all of them, especially with rumours that this will be Hodge's last year, such is the severity of his knee issues. Bailey a good ruck, but think they get more out of the Hale/Roughead combination. Gilham a horses for courses selection, Bateman and Ellis well past it.

Despite how overrated I think he is, I reckon Osborne would be a walk up in there when he returns though.

Other than Hodge the rest can not be considered as key players.

I really don't give a sh1t what Hawthorn do. We aren't Hawthorn.

There simply is NO excuse for the efforts we are putting up and changes have to be made.

Injuries have hurt us, no doubt, and you cannot possible say they haven't but the way we are playing without commitment and or structure is what most of us are fed up with. Our lack of effort is disappointing and disgraceful.

I think we have huge capacity to improve from here unlike Hawthorn, Essendon* and Adelaide, added bonus we know the list very well now a little luxury most clubs don't have. With this knowledge with the right recruitment the club can really build a very strong list for many years to come.

Out: bower, Joseph, Curnow, hampson, McLean, Collins
In: Waite, hendo, Dale, Thornton, kreuzer, Buckley

Tuohy. Watson boots
Gibbs jamo scotland
Simmo. Ellard. Armfield
Walks. Hendo garlett
Betts. Waite. Thornton
Kreuz. Judd. Robbo
Dale. Warnock yarran
Sub Buckley

Quit the ruck fwd all the time idea
Play Dale- there's something about him, he has that knack of creating time, let him get some game time and hope he harnesses it.
Play Scotland across HB. He isn't quick enough on wing and should be a general down back.
Dunno if I like hendo goin fwd but our fwd line is insignificant at present.

Hendo up forward....... ......that would mean we are trying to kick goals with KP players structured up correctly!!!
Why are we dropping Hampson & McLean?

Can't see it happening....even the odd win against a half decent team seems way beyond us at this stage....

I don't see them in the future team. Rather play kids that will be around next season. Goin into 2013 with an extra 4 kids with 6-10 games experience would be far more beneficial than playing McLean who won't be there and possibly hammer being a ruck man might be worth offloading for a kid or pick

The "in and outs" are completely irrelevant as long we have no game plan/structure and a lack of effort and confidence.

This....no matter who is on the park, we will get beaten. The blueprint to beat Carlton's game plan is simple...happy days, another wasted year
