Agree here. Haven't drafted a midfielder in 2010 or 2011 drafts. From 2009, both Lucas and Brock are currently adding nothing. Last decent midfielder drafted was Robinson in 2008. Probably our last good draft with yarran, warnock robinson and garlett all in our best 22.

If it were up to me I'd be ordering Shane Rodgers to draft 3 mids with first 3 picks this year.

Not on this year's form he isn't. Which is almost certainly why he was given the week off.

Cause they're all injured too meaning we have no replacements.

Lucas was an error. Ended up not the best available, surplus to our needs and we passed up on the bloke who probably was and would've filled a hole.

I don,t have a problem with our number 1 picks but all of our other early picks have been a flop so our can you get so many picks wrong we need some changes and it has to start at the top imo.

TOTALLY AGREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bower, Russell, Hampson, McLean, Warnock over Jacobs, Armfield, Grigg, (wasn't getting a regular game), possibly Lucas likely Watson

Not one of these players are a part of our best 22 with a full list

We have flowered up big time. Apart from Ratten's inabilty to motivate players at AFL level consistently, recruiting has been the other biggest problem

Don't look at our rookie successes. They were speculative with no one complaining if they went pear shaped

Carlton is crumbling like a house of cards with injuries just the icing on the cake

Lean times

I wouldn't; we need work on the forward-line, too.

Coming out during the week telling the world that you are interested in Boak was plain dumb
It would have fired up Port and sent the wrong message to the playing group

People saying this is 2002 it closer to 2003 2005 and 2007

We are ordinary the coaching staff have no answers the fitness staff have no answers and the players are insipid

I dont think they can turn this around

Cop outs like that are symptomatic of the cancerous deterioration of the CFC.

Endof the year:
Sticks -OUT - Has been in the Presidents job by default for too long. We need fresh blood.
Ratten - OUT - Brought us bac from beigna rabble to being a competitive side again (most weeks). Seems to have run his race as our Senior Coach
Wayne Hughes - OUT - More misses then hits with our recruiting, and thats been shown in the lack of depth we ve got. Picking a bl00dy dud in Matthew Watson ahead of Jack Darling says it all...
Justin Cordy - OUT - Our players get pushed off the ball way too easy, and cant hold their tackles for sh1t. Not strong enough
Paul Williams - OUT - He's our stopages coach, and we ve been smashed in stopages this year. GAWN!
Mark Riley - OUT - Ex Melbourne dud
Bower, Russell, Joseph ddddneed to go.
Look at trading Gibbs

Simpson seemed to be tagging?
Watson has some presence and did well on Westhoff considering the laters athleticism. Potential definitely there for 2nd year KP player. Big head on the bloke too. Literally. If his body catches up in size to his cranium he'll be a monster!

Judd little impact

Forward line sucks. Few players need Hammer eye surgery because Eddie isn't 195cm 100kg, stop expecting him to dominate aerial contests against tall defenders.

Depressing seeing a 3rd or 4th year Port player in Broadbent come so far. Best on with Hartlett, two 21 year olds and can't help but compare them to our players in the same age bracket. And not in a positive way for us.

So the likes of Curnow, Ellard, McLean, Joseph, Armfeild and a few in the twos are just parked on our list for 'show' - figures!

Or are they depth, depth players?

spot on, been thinking the same thing, it never works in the long run

fitzroy tried to do that in there last few years....

Forgetting about all the injuries, why are we continually seeing our team turn up and play with very little enthusiasm. There appears to be little passion. You don't have to be really talented to have a @#$%&! crack. Where have the forward 50 tackles gone? That use to be a sign that we were up and about.
