Hasn't done Adelaide any harm.

Well I have to go and look at a house I am buying. The timing is not good. The Aussie Dollar is going worse than the Carlton footy team at the moment. Every day the price of the house goes up $400 dollars. I better hurry before it drops out of the 8. The dollar that is. I think Carlton already has.

Maybe the players or the board need to be sacked then....

We are short of midfield quality so what does the coaching panel do - use Simpson in a negative run with role for an entire half despite the fact the opposition were building an unassailable lead. We use Bower in what looked like a negative forward role and he played accordingly. He has no feel for that end of the ground so why would it suddenly work tonight? We get smashed in the clearances yet we stick with the same players in the setups instead of trying to get the likes of Betts into the play or utilise Tuohy's obvious thirst for the contest(a rarety out our club)
The best thing that could happen to this group is to finish 9th and miss out by % - three list changes from one season to the next always felt a hint of misreading our list and it has come to fruition after 10 weeks. We have too many list cloggers and our development of our draft picks has been disgraceful. How can we have a bloke like Rohan Kerr on our list for 2.5 years, Rhys O'Keefe for 3.5 years and have nothing to show for it. Collingwood have already had six debutants this season with the prospect of more.

Enough is enough!

I don,t have a problem with our number 1 picks but all of our other early picks have been a flop so our can you get so many picks wrong we need some changes and it has to start at the top imo.

Stop treating the draft like you don't give a crap would help. I mean to say the way we give in to clubs and offer 'sweeteners' and how we panic whenever we think we have a pressing need. It is always a 'one note' trading period. Also, the way we have determined 'best available' seems ham-fisted.

We began our slide weeks ago prior to injuries....

FMD! we have gone backwards at a rate of knots this year. peaked in round 3, and thought the rest of the year would be a cakewalk. at least the old (misplaced) Carlton arrogance is back!

The sad reality is our premiership window has shut without ever really opening.

2012 was shaping up as a year ripe for the picking.
Injuries shouldn't be used as an excuse - Collingwood and West Coast have had plenty of injuries as well yet still have the resolve to get the job done. The Crows haven't had the early draft picks and have lost both Bock and Phil Davis to the Suns and Giants respectively.
This group appears to be mentally weak which is so disappointing.

Enough of the excuses, why are West Coast and Collingwood not whining about injuries...Ratts has no structure anyway...his gameplan revolves around Judd and Murphy....

have a look at who was out for pies last week, it kinda makes any excuse about injuries look a little silly. don't wanna go through the names, i've already thrown up enough tonight

Good games from Watto and Bootsma and should play next week...Henda should play forward now so should Gibbs across HF.

I love and prefer Hendo in the backline but he's going to be needed forward and hopefully Waite gets back next week too.

Of course that's just a structural start and give the midfield some idea where they're aiming. Just the start. We need alot more of other intangible things though

Are you kidding me? Good games from Watto and Bootsma? As Carlton supporters we need to take our rose-coloured glasses off and admit these guys are soft, apply zero defensive pressure, and would not get a game at any other finals bound club. Oh wait, Watson can kick 65m and Bootsma is a cult hero, so they must be good.

I don't get emotional like many supporters who slash their wrist and are waiting for the world to end. We know sides can turn to sh1t fast but at the same time can come good just quickly. Been through it before and come out of it.

What a pathetic and spineless display and useless coaching performance by Ratten tonight. You can talk about injuries but the complete lack of effort by most of the players tonight and, in most of the big matches this year is profoundly disturbing. I have been a Ratten supporter in the past but the way the team is playing is terrible. There is no spirit and definitely no heart. I cannot see us making the finals this year and now have serious doubts as to whether Ratten can take us any further. God help us with what will probably happen when we play Geelong next week at Etihad where there is no room for anyone to hide.

I know it is fashionable to blame the coach but, this team is playing in the same manner as when the finally sacked Pagan. You have to wonder, if this keeps on will Ratten last the year out?

It's about getting the best out of our list. We aren't close.

I really believe with the right coach, gameplan etc we can be a contender in the next few years but changes need to happen and happen quickly.

That game was as bad as it gets!!

I think we have taught our players how to maintain possession at the expense of moving the ball forward.
