Only positive i can find is that hopefully this is the end of Ratten tenure which is sad with only being rd 10. He has lost the players they aren't motivated anymore

Team looked shit on paper and looked worse on a football field. Swapping out the coaches would be an easy option for the board but wont achieve a thing unless the new guy runs broom through the list.

Like I posted on twitter: 2012 is a season ripe for the picking and we've bottled it big time.

Since the Essendon* game it's been…

No ticker.
No hardness.
No fight.

And now it's pretty much…

No hope.

I don,t have a problem with our number 1 picks but all of our other early picks have been a flop so our can you get so many picks wrong we need some changes and it has to start at the top imo.

We have got about 15 goals worse since rd 3. Lucky to make the 8.

Best to forget about joseph bower Thornton russell curnow for a few weeks and try the other guys On our list.

Ellard Judd bootsma and tuohy the only guys who playEd anywhere near their best

Good games from Watto and Bootsma and should play next week...Henda should play forward now so should Gibbs across HF.

We're a timid team. We managed to flex our muscle last week against the weakest team in the competition. But simply haven't shown the appetite for the contest for the last 6 weeks.

I thought we'd still scrape into the lower reaches of the 8, but we won't even do that now. I guess we'll get a decent draft pick. And presumably the club will be forced to face the unpalatable truth that a serious review needs to happen. Clearly something is amiss. Looks like the players have lost all confidence in the coaching plan.

I thought McLean had a good first half. Ellard competed. Bootsma and Tuohy showed a bit. Betts was a basically a one man forward line, on the rare occasions it got forward. Watson had a decent 2nd half (although I wish he'd attack the ball when it's near him - must have been 2 or 3 times when he simply watched the ball land 5 metres away, and he took no interest in it).

Weren't helped by some horrible umpiring early and late in the game. And some simply incredible/arsey goals to the opposition.

I hope the club is developing some kind of plan behind the scenes about where they're going to go next, and what they're going to try. Because we're going backwards at a rate of knots.

My daughter played school soccer this morning - she kicked 6. Nearly more than the Blues.

"CARLTON coach Brett Ratten has fired back at critics who were not impressed by Carlton's 58-point victory against winless Melbourne last week." (Herald Sun this morning)

Do you think he might understand why we were not impressed last week???

When you are aspiring for top four, how you win is as important as whether you win (as is how you lose).

The sad reality is our premiership window has shut without ever really opening.

Can't tell you how heartbreaking that is for me.

We need to do a 'crisis review' of the whole club, top to bottom. Not end of the year, not after we're 6-8, NOW. Decisive action must be taken otherwise this season will be a disaster, if it isn't already.

I won't pretend to know all the answers but what we are dishing up cannot be tolerated.

I said in the game thread that our recent performances have all the hallmarks of some serious internal issues. There's no fight, no spirit, no heart and absolutely no confidence. We are a rabble at present and it flower hurts.

Port shouldn't get too excited - they only beat us. Next week they'll get to see where they're at.
