This is not about players, injuries etc.

This is about a club that has lost its way and isn't even competitive.

I am Carlton and I am disgusted.

our gameplan when we have the ball has become far too defensive and predictable
we move it slow and wide commit our back flankers and back pockets to the press
then a spud like joseph armfield bower or whoever turns it over or goes to a 50/50 and then get smashed on the rebound

its been like that for ages

We are the Horses Hoofs in Blue.

This is now far beyond the players.

Injuries are no excuse for this crap.
Collingwood beat the top team at AAMI last week missing their best midfielder and half their defence.

Serious problems.

Richo doing the half time tv talk. Plan to keep 6 players inside 50, plan to get a forward line in place.

Gibbs forward now.

Really embarrassing overall.
Maybe because its against Port.
They're suppose to be on their knees.
Primus' coaching job in jeopardy.
Won a couple in a row,

My best are Gibbs, Betts, Ellard, McLean, Garlett, Armfield and Scotland.
Ever they have had embarassing moments in this game.

5 goals down.
Season on the line.
Raining and slippery.

Tell me where our season is really heading. Only the playing group can tell us.

Over to you Bluebaggers. Supporters can't get you out of this.

These have half a game to tell themselves and your fans the truth about our 2012 season.
Have our guys got more in the tank than Port? Has the Qatar campaign helped?
If Cordy is in charge of fitness, which coach looks after strength?
Our bottom 6 are....more than 6 if you know what I mean....so far not good.

Our recent form has all the hallmarks of some serious internal issues doesnt it? There's no fight, no heart, very little effort and absolutely no spark.

We have lost our way majorly. We need to take decisive action now otherwise this season will be a disaster.

That's not necessarily a sack ratts thing either. However internally we have to identify what the issue/s are and address them. NOW.

Great post MPH. Too many posters attacking Ratten for mine. This apathy points to a club wide problem.

Only listening on the radio, but I seem to be hearing Pfieffer's name called a lot.

Be interested if anyone watching it could list a few of our better players to date,
(I'm guessing Curnow's not going to one of them).

Arm field.... Is the only one for me

With the injuries we have, winning was alays going to be hard but as many have pointed out here, that doesn't stop players from having a red hot go. Joseph, Ellard, Armfield, Touhy, Robinson are all players with the bodies to play this wet weather hard at it stuff. Of the aforementioned, only Robbo and Armfield are really having any impact. The others aren't.

I'd put Simmo in the midfield. He's not getting a look in on the wing. Our periphreral players (Outside the square) need to block their players from rushing the square at centre bounces.
