Henderson is 50/50. Waite and Duigan will both be another week
Yarran will play
Waitey's back hasn't responded to treatment as well as we would have liked
It looks like Collins will get up
The Power are up. A lot of their players are getting back to their best
We could have been sharper defensively last weekend. 50 inside-50s isn't bad, but we can improve
It's great to see blokes grabbing their opportunities. I guess that's one positive to come out of all these injuries
It's great to see Brock playing to his strengths. Maybe we made the wrong decision in dropping him after the Essendon* game
We'll keep playing the three ruckmen
Travis Boak is a very good player. We'd be interested in having a chat if he was looking at moving back home

Even if Boak was interested we have no currency unless we want to trade Gibbs in a straight swap.

First round pick and Russ.

If this season goes belly up i am sure there will be plenty of players on the chopping block.

Noooo, you think so?!? Given he had 8 clearances(the team had 38 from memory) in that game and we have been smashed in the clearnaces in all the games except Melbourne since. :banghead: He was far from the worst that day too.

They were worried taking him to Perth. We go the win. Their worries may have been justified......we will never know.

Turns out he would have been handy in the 2 etihad games as Ratts admits.

Over rating Russ abit.. if you were Port would you accept it?

Considering I would want a premium...I would reject it in a heart beat.

Keep round 1... Gibbs + Russell --> Boak + 2 & 3 rd round picks.

They will never trade Gibbs. Whole idea is to improve the list not give away a star for a star.

There are some that don't rate Gibbs but I do and i reckon the club rate him highly.

I agree cimm - they need to settle Bryce as an attacking defender IMO - the only way he leaves is if he wants to

Can we pls turn this into another thread about bryce gibbs. I feel we have failed as a forum if we dont pass judgement and analyse his performances and impacts in every thread for 2012.

Jon Ralph just called Ratten stupid on SEN. Ralph said Andy McKay told him there is no money in the cap for Carlton to target anyone. Assumed that money saved from Waite & Simmo moving to veteran and getting rid of Brock will be used for Kreuzer and Gibbs (plus I assume any front loading of Murphy).

So we can forget about Boak and any other strong player coming next year. Quite disappointing if true. I think we are 1-2 players short of a flag.

It was silly of Ratts because now big K and Gibbs manager know they can dig in for more cash.

Mckay would be spreading the word we have no space to push through some contracts then at trade time we will have some loose cash.

Yep, Bomber Thompson know how to spin the company line, re Ryder and Stanton, but Ratt's stuffed it. It looked to me like Ratt's was having a thought bubble moment, started answering the question and right at the end he say's "but that's something Andy McKay looks after, behind the scenes" Doh!!.

If you believe Ratt's was instrumental in the Brock deal, you can almost see the same thought process, without the Andy McKay part.

Just on the relationship between Ratt's and Andy, on EMT Ratt's did an interview and described the "discussions" he and McKay had had since he arrived. I got the distinct impression that there had been some conflict.
