I reckon I've heard too often this year how so and so was able to nullify Judd.
Judd's job is to play well despite being tagged.

Still think we will struggle to win this one.

you can not look at the player front on and push them away from the contest ... its ridiculous

i really hope we get hendo and yaz back

shouldnt rush yaz though ... toe stood on in the last minute??? thats just [REDACTED]

kruezer usualy dominates port

Someone needs to make sure Westhoff is covered; usually plays a blinder against us.

Garlett needs to find form and discipline in the twos. Love him as a player but he has been surviving on reputation for the last month or so.

If Kerr is fit give him a game and see if keeping him last year was worthwhile or not.

Play Lucas forward for four quarters.

Broadbent, Ebert and Pearce were really good for the Power on the weekend. On top of that Westhoff and Schulz appear to be in form. If not for accuracy Shulz would have had about 4 goals.

Cornes was also quite damaging in reducing Ablett's effectiveness and going strong the other way.

They will be sniffing for 3 in a row and we are beatable at the moment.

This is not going to be an easy game by any stretch.

Just had a listem to the Warnock interview on CCTV.
The ruckmen like the 3 ruck rotation. Kreuzer and Hammer said it lightened the load.
They discussed proximity and what they could do to improve their positioning next time.

I like the rucks and KPFs to be fresher for battle, but it needs 3 of them running well.

At present we have Warnock with 1 game under his belt, Kreuzer not going usual pace and Haampson lacking intensity with his chasing. They would be great together if they were super fit and hangry for the ball.

Lucky we're playing Port this weekend.

I'd say they're sticking to the company line...can't imagine any of them saying that 3 rucks can't or won't work.

Lucas continual use as a sub is a prime example of how not to develop young players. He should have bee on for the opening bounce instead of Joseph or bower. Its another example of team selection failing to invest in the clubs future. There also appears to be a bias towards grunt players even if they have limited pace and skill over players with more upside.

I don't think we will win big or easily but we will win this one. Why, we like playing in Adelaide, we are a better than Port and because we'll lock it down like we did against Melbourne and play good contested footy until we win the ball on our terms and realise the runners. Port won't be able to go 4 quarters with us. It will all start for us next week though. Big few weeks coming up after this game.

As for the 3 rucks. It works people - all we need is for Krooze to play more of a CHF role in demanding the ball and getting the team to play through him more. The guy is athletic enough to play the role well, all we need to do is either teach him (hopefully we have done something here) or he learns to be more assertive, because he can take a grab!

Yep, bang on the money there.

He may have the ability, and I want him to be a regular as well but he had the chance to come on with a full qtr against a tired bottom team and didnt even look like he wanted to get a kick, he should have busted a gut, and showed why he should have started but he didnt.

Having just watched the reply must agree. Not even looking like the player we started with.

Last 4 matches against Port at AAMI we've kicked 28 goals to 2 in the last quarter, so if it's close at 3/4 time hopefully the trend continues.

As mentioned we play well there and being a wide expansive ground it makes it difficult to close our space.

Agree our form inspires no confidence, but lets not forget that following a 6 game losing streak they were again 6 goals down at home to Nth with just 10 minutes to go, and posted a regulation win over GC after being level at 1/2 time, so they shouldn't hold many fears.

Understand your points and agree with them, we shouldn't be too worried against Port but you just never know with the up & down adventures Carlton put up each week.

If Waite comes in, one of the 3 ruckmen have to go or else we'll be top heavy. I think it's time for Kruez to have a General Soreness week.
