We need to play Confidence.
He's been missing lately
The team becomes lacklustre without him, and it's feels like every game will be a struggle until he comes back.

Did Lucas do enough yesterday? - 3 handballs against Melbourne?

The stats back up Kreuzer's input. While he may not be standing out, he was the king of the 1%ers yesterday with a massive 9 (top 10 in the comp for the weekend). That's phenomenal for a ruck/forward. 20 disposals with 90% efficiency, a goal and should have had more with 4 behind the stick.

The area that was below par was his marks with only 3 for the day. But the rest was fine. Had he kicked 4.1 instead of 1.4 he might have received some higher plaudits.

A little staggering how only ONE of Betts and Garlett provide each week. Garlett was crap yesterday. No two ways about it. 2nd gamer Bootsma did more than him, and also Tuohy, Armfield, Lucas and almost Joseph.

Armfield obviously has a bung knee. I love Tuohy but his form has dropped off considerably.

I suppose the other great thing is that we ended up winning by 10 goals with a very quiet day from the Judd meister.

But blimey we'll need to improve to beat Port. What a sorry state of affairs. Needing to do better to beat one of the worst teams in the comp. Yikes.

I included him in the votes - thought his game was outstanding. Has a great record against Port Adelaide and will be a big factor in why we'll win.

Agreed BG72. We have looked like a team that is very low on morale lately. We need to find a balance where we are positive and confidently committed without being over confident like we seemed to be when we were touted as premiership favourites a few weeks back.

Watching on TV from a few thousand K's away, over the last few weeks we have looked like a side that is either demoralised or suffering from a flu epidemic.

Garlett needs to find form and discipline in the twos. Love him as a player but he has been surviving on reputation for the last month or so.

If Kerr is fit give him a game and see if keeping him last year was worthwhile or not. Maybe hang on to Joseph for more run and rest Kruezer.

We usually do alright interstate, and have a pretty good record at AAMI Stadium in the last 3-4 years.
Hope we can get some of our injured players back for this game, although wouldnt be rushing them back if they re still not right.
Port have won their last 2 in a row and are a bit up and about at the moment, so wouldnt be taking them too lightly. Bit con cerned about how our undermanned defence will cope with the Butcher/Schultz combination...

Dom to tell you the truth I sort of hope some of those injured players stay out a bit longer and this group we have at the moment grind out a few wins against the odds - It will be better for the team in the long haul.

I hope Hammer starts producing at full forward so Waite starts thinking I better pull a digit out here otherwise I'm not getting back in
I hope Bootsma keeps improving and show Russell and Duigan whats required

Make the guys that are out at the moment earn their place back in the team and the blokes we brought in take ownership of the positions

We will be a better team in the long run if we do

AJ had a great game - 18 disposals 94% efficiency ;7 CP..no clearances but plenty of 1%ers...needs to add clearances to his arsenal..

Scans this morning indicated Andrew (Collins) has some bone bruising but no structural damage to the knee. #IAMCARLTON

I think Ratts is onto Garlett.

Wouldn't be surprised if Jeff gets dropped, but then again Ratts is not exactly known for swinging a lot of changes to a winning team (irrespective of how unimpressive the win is).

SHould win by more than five goals with the same team that played on the weekend...Port were only slightly better statistically than GC in clearances and CP..but were much cleaner and worked harder decimating GC in UP. Be a good test for many players but we should win it well/.

I for one will be disappointed if Duigan comes straight back in, he's been really struggling and may have been chopped this week anyway. Needs to find form in magoos before he comes back, me thinks. Keep Boots in at least for this week against a team without the bigger bodies of the contenders (read Dees too).

We are unbeaten with him out of the team this year.

Robbo, Brock and Ellard need to play another blinder as Judd will be blanketed by Cornes.

We drop McLean in the next 4-6 weeks and I'll give this them away. The guys is crucial to us right now as Curnow is struggling currently to capture the form of last year. McLean must stay and be given every chance to prove he can play like he did today. Great game by him, easily the best in the navy blue jumper.

Agree

Brock was tough and hard at it in the guts.

Curnow does a few good things but I'm not convinced he's anywhere near his eraly 2011 form that got him B&F votes...which I must add, the votes surprised me.
