No better than everyone suddenly jumping on the Brock bandwagon after being aboard arguably the easiest bandwagon in football in mercilessly bagging him out for the past 2 and a half years....

Most of which will jump off as soon as Carrazzo comes back, or Curnow starts finding form..

Not sure any are jumping on a bandwagon, just praising a guy who played a good game.

You are right though, he probably won't be given much slack if he plays poorly next week, haha.

"Just play him for the next 3-4 weeks" seems to have replaced "Should never play for us again" very quickly.

PRO's:-

- ROBBO
Brilliant and gutsy effort from him today. He has been asked to step up and he took leaps rather than steps. Inspiring stuff.
- WARNOCK
Could very well be our #1 ruckman if he plays like that! Loved his clearance work too.
- McLEAN
Did ok. Not great but OK. Still don't like him, but you gotta give credit when somebody tries hard like that. I have no problem when players put in 'effort'.
- WINNING...........
Without Murphy / Yazz / Hendo / Waite / Carazzo / Laidler. - and duigan

CON's

- Crap game. Geez those first 3qtrs were boring!
- Easybeats. Melbourne are woefull. A win's a win, but let's not get ahead of ourselves.
- Jeff.........what were you thinking? Will he get a week for that?
- Flooding. Again we pushed to many numbers up the ground. It pisses me off when I see players like Eddie Betts taking marks in the defending 50. He shouldn't be there!!!

Pros:
- Hammer, Warnock and Kruze have shown it is possible for them all to play in the one team effectively. Hopefully if they stick with it for a decent period of time and they improve even further. Takes time for a change such as playing and delivering to a big KPF to become second nature.
- Brock.
- Boots solid effort in the first game.
- Someone posted last week about all of our rucks being horrible below the knees. I noticed several instances of them picking the ball up off their toes and delivering it well. So ner!
- The contested footy and clearances were back to being controlled by the Blues.

Cons:
- Injury to Collins, though glad it isnt severe.
- Still a few players short on form.
- Lack of sustained effort for the whole match. If you were to watch the last quarter on its own without the score showing, you would assume we were in for a 150pt win.

Brock was a massive positive. His pace isn't an issue IMO we have enough pace in our side. My only worry has been with his slow decision making, but he was a lot better in that area yesterday. We need Brock (not so much the player but the type of player he is) and I'd have him in our best 22. Hopefully he is over his injuries and is given a good 6+ weeks in the seniors. Go Brock.

This has been his biggest problem! He is not any slower then say a Luke Ball or Simon Black, but it is the slow decision making that has been his downfall. I haven't seen the game but if there has been improvement in this regard then he may just prove to be useful after all

He was slow but I think he picked up the pace of the game more as he went along.
His awareness was alot better than in the past.
That can only get better with time and he needed to come in against a crap side and adjust to that slowly.
He will be caught out again but with more experience and game time at the elite level will hopefully adjust and become a handy player.
