This is just odd.

We didn't want to give up Josh, Austin was constantly injured and Jacobs didn't really outpoint our fit ruckman (Hampson). Grigg still can't kick, or listen with an open mind when he thinks he's right. Foolish to think we did anything to hamper their development.

Austin was no more injured than White (or Mitchell, but that's just being pedantic)
Jacobs was arguably BOG in that final against Sydney, taking out anyone with the last name Judd from consideation.

People are going to bitch about Grigg no matter what. Irrespective that we got a crap deal for him. The more we get smashed around the clearances, the more he becomes JK MK2

I'm referring to his field kicking. It is so lacklustre it's not funny. Statistics lie in this instance. His goal kicking has never been in question because it suits his action.

Short memories around here re Grigg - do we realise what a poor bargaining position we were facing with Tiges. IIRC it was either Collins (who we asked for, FFS) or he walks into the PSD. Please, let's not rewrite history.

I agree but we squibbed out a bit when we let them go which is much more pertinent.

Talking about it right now. So far they have mentioned Tuohy, Murphy, Hampson, Yarran not sure about due to his injury. Mentioned that Scott
Watters said after the game against us that the player that they put the most work into was Simpson, shut him down and look at what happened.
Suprised that they are still saying we may finish top 4.

What position does Grigg play at the Tiggers?

Wing? Loose man in defense? Whatever it is, he doesn't have an opponent, every week.
He's not the type we need to serve our hole/ lack of depth in the midfield.

I would expect an AFL player who was picked up inside forst 20 selections in the draft to kick 2 out 3 shots for goal with no pressure and within kicking distance. That's what Grigg does, but he no good at the hard ball.

That's not improvement. He did the same for them last year, and imo hasn't changed much since Carlton days.
Downhill skier.

Hammer Carrazzo Tuohy Bower Armfield Hendo Yarran and Lucas have all improved this year imo.

From what I saw of them in the preseason Collins Mitchell and McCarthy were on the right track....can't be counted??

Scotto, Simmo, Judd, Murphy, Walker, Betts, Laidler don't need to improve.
Reached and maintained the highest standard and continue to meet expectations imo.

I'd suggest the performances of some of our elite players against Bumbers Saints and Crows were hindered by a lack of insight and action from the coaching staff.

A few concerns in 2012 though: Duigan Russell Watson Jamo Joseph Robbo Garlett TBird Kreuzer...need to lift...and Bower concerns me too despite an improvement on a injury riddled 2011.

To be fair to Brock Mclean, his output in the past 3 games has been his best in his 3 years at the club.

Kruezer on the other hand has gone backwards and we should have taken Cotchin with our 1st pick in 2007 draft.

I agree.

At least until Cotchin gets injured and Kruezer returns to full fitness, and then we should swap them around again.
