It hurts to say it, but I do agree. Look at Grigg ... Not a star but so much better under a new coach. Russell showed us 2010 what he coul be, now he is not even VFL standard. Something is just plain wrong. Crows turned it around and so can we. We have a list that can challenge fo the flag, we are waisting this opportunity. I can't stand the thought of another 5-8 years of rebuilding. It does my head in.

Grigg is better than Brock & Collins combined which is what he effectively went for & there's nobody coming through to replace the likes of Scotland, Waite & Judd. None of our guys have developed physically either.

Has Gillard been in charge of our list management & conditioning program?

Grant Thomas at least got the Saints to win 10 in a row

Ratts cant get us to win 4 or more

As I said Ratts lacks even Thomas people skills.

Plus St Kilda 2004 >>> Carlton 2012

Gibbs is in the worst form slump of his career. Started on Dangerfield and was smashed. Then sent back in the 2nd half and was woeful.

12 disposals for the afternoon from a player who publicly had his tyres pumped up by the coach and the captain pre season as the next big thing is a absolute disgrace.

Just for the record name who you think should coach the side. If things eventuate it would be good to assess if your opinion was right or wrong!

Ratts will quote stats. Sticks will say "we are Carlton, flower the rest". TC will meltdown.

That is the danger. A lot of people wanted Voss to coach us. Any new coach is a risk, sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. That's why I would be more inclined to look at an experienced guy who is good at tactics and ppl manage management... I.e. Malthouse.

so we evolved into the forward press 2 years after everyone else.
$10 says we'll spend the next 2 pre-seasons 'bulking up' and developing some big bodied hard edged mids for the next wave of footy, only for the innovative sides to become smaller runners and run circles around us

The key issue is:
how can a team that played very well and confident the first 3 rounds fall apart like this when the opposition changes tactics?
How come that Gibbs has gone backwards instead of forward with his football?
How come that Russel, who showed 2 seasons ago that he had a lot of potential, totally loose it?
Why does Grigg play so much better for the Tigers then for us?
Etc etc etc

Something is rotten at the CFC

Interesting to see how the Crows have changed in one season with a new setup and a new coach. Time for a change at the club.

Excellent questions Mikkey.

I'll add one more.

I'm hearing after a couple of losses that other clubs have worked us out. So should we aim to do what we do well better or should
be look at changing our game plan. Plenty of clubs have claimed to have worked us out in the past but we still beat them because
they can't stop us. No so lately. Do we look at doing things differently then, or try to figure out why things have stopped working?

The "B" graders again had no impact today. Players like Curnow, Russell, Armfield, Touhy, Ellard etc simply did not get enough of it.

It was not helped by our sposed "A" graders in Gibbs, Kruezer, Jamison, Betts etc having shockers.

Serious problems at Blue land.

Who would be believe our midfield would...

Gibbs was fantastic.....not

Kreuzer is a RR Warnock is a ruckman

@#$%&! me dead....I know we've got a great core group of individuals, but who is going to synchronise this orchestra?

It is all out of whack.

Jamo gave me the shits in the firt half big time. OK later on.
Armfield tried and got to a lot of contests most of our players were gazing at.
Walker tick, even Betts, like Walker starved, tick...Hendo at CHF, tick, Yazza, tick....clutching...straws...

Nothing nice to say other than I understand why posters feel the way they do, and I hope my signature is fools gold as 99 suggested.

Still, what really scary is that the cupboard is bare for midfielders.
Who comes in for Murphy?
No good.

WE still have good list, Can we turn it around, or rather can Ratts change it to a winning formula?
If he doesn't this year, then he can go.
Get Sanderson!!...oh, he's gone.

So the club is saying Murphy has a sprained AC Joint.

Whose responsibility was Yarran not being subbed on today when Murphy went down?

That was raised on radio after the game, we had a period of 8-9 minutes when we had no Murphy or Yarran on the ground. It was pretty obvious Murphy was in trouble and wouldnt come back on.
I am beyond angry, just dont care anymore. After years of paying for memberships, losing week after week, getting Judd i thought we would be challenging for a flag now. We should be challenging for a flag. There was one important thing we had to get right, that was the right coach. What did we do, we pretended to go through a process of interviewing potential coaches and just appointed Ratten. I look at some of todays new coaches, especially Sanderson and wonder what might have been.

That's gold. We are the imitators not the innovators. Amen!

Agree, but there was more passnegrs than that.
I think the B graders are C graders, and a lot of our B Graders were non existent.

Look there was only 3-4 good players....I'll cut Armfield some slack.
